一天，一只猫抓到了一条鲜嫩无比的鱼，它高兴地往回跑，正好跑到岸边时，那只猫想用这条清澈见底的小河照镜子，这只猫刚看了一眼就想：“河里面怎样有一只和我一模一样的猫？而且它还有一条和我一样的鱼？”它又想：“如果我把这只猫的鱼抢过来不就有两条鱼了吗？”它想到这里，就迫不及待的张开血盆大口想咬河里的猫，可意外发生了，这只猫刚张嘴，那条鲜嫩无比的鱼就掉了下来，逃走了。
猫见抓不到这条鱼了，便想起河里的猫来，它往下一看，咦那只猫嘴里的鱼也没有了。它这才发现那是自己的倒影，它很难过，但没有办法，只好垂头丧气的回去了。
