今天是9月10日教师节，小里一边走路一边想：“我该送些什么礼物给王老师呢?贺卡?不行不行，王老师为了我们日夜操劳，有时12点多才睡觉。贺卡不能完全代表我对王老师的敬意。”想着想着，她忽然闻到一阵清香。是菊花！小里心里一亮！野菊花土生土长，无所需求，却默默地无私地向人们奉献。它的朴素，它的顽强。它那样默默地生长，不求索取，只是给予的高贵品质不正象老师那无私奉献的精神一样吗?我何不摘些野菊花给老师呢！她便顺着香味走到了山坡上。

哇，好美啊！在阳光的照耀下，野菊花泛着金黄的色彩，清淡的香气让人闻了心旷神怡，仿佛在散发着它特有的魅力。只不过小里顾不上欣赏这些美丽的菊花，就忙着采花了。她小心翼翼地采着，捧在手心上，就象捧着什么稀有的东西一样。嘴角微微向上翘：老师一定会很喜欢吧！

在阳光下，一个小女孩背着小书包，在黄金似的菊花丛里弯着腰小心地采着菊花，额头上闪着白色光芒的汗珠顺着她的脸蛋流了下来。就在这时，一阵微风轻轻地吹来，满山坡的菊花在翩翩起舞。过了好一会儿，小里才挺直身腰，高兴地说：“终于采完了”﹗她用手擦了擦头上的汗珠，想：如果王老师看到了这束菊花，脸上会有什么表情﹖她背着书包，手里捧着一束野菊花，一路哼着歌，走到了学校。

到了老师办公室，小里从窗外看了看，王老师还没来。她看了看桌子上再也熟悉不过的东西：一个地球仪，一瓶墨水，一个笔筒，语文课本上还放着一副老花眼镜，日历上正好翻到了9月10日这一天。“王老师昨天晚上一定是很晚很晚才睡的，”小里自言自语着：“只为了给我们批改作业，只为了帮落后的同学补课。”说着说着，居然抽咽起来。“不过，”她的眼睛一亮：“只要王老师看到它，一定会很开心很开心的！”小里拿出一大捧菊花插进笔筒里，眼前仿佛出现了王老师看到菊花时惊喜和高兴的表情。小里开心地笑了。

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.

then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
