你们来过铜仁的梵净山吗?那儿的风景简直可以用人间仙境来形容。
我乘旅游车来到半山腰的缆车乘坐点时，旁边已然是人山人海，把我们团团围在了一起仿佛是在包饺子。当我费劲周折后，终于乘上了缆车。随着一阵机器的轰鸣声，缆车上升了，我们一旁的景物也随着向上移，在高空中，我向下面俯视，哇!……好高!我几乎将整个梵净山尽收眼底，望着高耸巍峨的山、苍翠欲滴的树、正不紧不慢地流淌着的涓涓细流，这种仿佛是诗情画意般的景色，真让人兴奋不已!
下了缆车，我就开始去爬金顶。金顶名声可不小，它可是一个佛教圣地，听说佛教的先祖释枷摩尼也到过那儿呢!但是，恰巧天公不作美，霎然间下了小雨，但这点小雨阻止不了我的心情。
于是，我在保安的指引下来到了登山点，我饶有兴趣地向上看了看，哗!——上面虽陡峭但有许多锁链，许多胆小的人才刚爬到一半时，就不爬了，既不敢上，也不能下，只留在那儿叫苦不迭;许多胆子大的人呢，抓住锁链“蹭蹭蹭”几步就攀上去了。我也不是吃素的!我利用以前在电视上看到的登山技巧：一只手抓住锁链，一只手扳住石头一步一步地爬上去。
当我爬上山顶，向下望时，我不禁吓一跳：下面全是白芒芒一片，给人一种身处万丈深渊的感觉。
梵净山是铜仁的一道美丽风景，是铜仁的一颗璀璨的明珠!

暑假里的一天，我们一大家人去爬贵州的梵净山。早上才四点多，我们就出发了，路上，早已迫不及待的我在车上活蹦乱跳。“哇，块看云海，好漂亮哦。”姐姐大叫道。我们大家的目光一起投向车窗外，果然真的很美，我第一次见到怎么美的`云海，“真的好漂亮！”我也不禁感慨道。只见一座座山峦被云海遮挡的只剩下一点点山峰，那景色和神仙住的地方没什么两样。过了一会，云雾罩住了马路，给马路增添了几分神秘的色彩，更让马路像是在通往“极乐世界”，我们竟然也像在仙境里穿行了。
后来美景越来越多，让我目不暇接。过了好几个小时，我们终于到达目的地———梵净山。我发现这里树多、环境特别好，非常适合居住。我们坐着景区巴士车来到山脚下乘缆车，轮到我们了，我第一个冲进去，缆车在慢慢向上滑动，我往下一看，天哪，下面是万丈深渊！虽然有点恐怖，但是很快我就被这少有的美景迷住了。我们的缆车越过万丈深渊，然后我们就什么也看不到了，又一次在仙境穿行。到了上顶下了缆车，虽然是7月的天气，这里竟然很冷，爸爸告诉我，我们现在的位置海拔是2048米，哎呀，我和姐姐都快被冻成冰块了！我们继续前进。没走一会，我就气喘吁吁，“一二一，一二一”我嘴里喊起了口号给自己打气，身上也暖和起来。
到了一座庙里，很多人都在拜菩萨，爸爸叫我也拜拜，我有点不好意思没拜。外公招呼大家去爬这里最有名的金顶山，爬了一会，最惊险的地方来了：台阶很窄，而且很陡（后来爸爸告诉我，他在我后面只能看到我的鞋底），要死死拉住铁链和旁边的石头才可以慢慢往上爬，左面是悬崖，右面是万丈深渊，我一开始不敢，在那里犹豫着，爸爸鼓励我，说我一定可以做到。于是我扶着石头，拉着铁链迈了第一步，咦，没像我想象的那样可怕，我又迈出了第二、第三步，哈哈，我做梦也想不到我成功了，我爬上了梵净山最惊险的地方———金顶。我喜出望外，从金顶上往下看：云雾缭绕，令人心旷神怡，所有的山峰都在我们脚下若隐若现，我突然明白“一览众山小”的意思了。
我们就像一群天宫里的神仙，在天上飘来飘去。我正陶醉呢，这时姐姐喊该下去了，因为上面很冷，不能久留。我依依不舍，好不容易爬上来，怎么快就走真是可惜呀！外公说还有一个地方一定要去，就是看这里的蘑菇石。我们一群人又向那里出发，很快我们到达目的地。我看见蘑菇石了，它真是名不虚传：上面的石头横着，下面的石头竖着支撑着上面横着的石头，那个造型很像一朵大蘑菇。像这样的还有好几个。我们赶快和这些大蘑菇合起影来。
由于这里海拔很高，天气比娃娃的脸变得还快，刚才还有太阳，没想到一场大雨突然下起来，把所有的游客淋了个透，我们在慌乱中从山上冲下来，大家都挤在刚才我们经过的庙里躲雨。我看看端坐在上面的菩萨，心想：你还真小气，刚才不就是没好意思拜你吗，现在就叫龙王下雨淋我，都不让我多欣赏欣赏蘑菇石。你是神仙大方点嘛！（后来妈妈笑我迷信）雨下了好久，没等停我们就赶着下山了。在下山的缆车里，我又有意外收获，我们缆车外竟然出现了一道美丽的彩虹，它就在我们脚下，我和姐姐兴奋的叫起来。我想起一句歌词：阳光总在风雨后，请相信有彩虹。我一直看着它，直到消失。现在彩虹的样子还依然在我脑海里。我们刚到出口，一场大雨又不请自来，再一次把我们浇了个透，看来龙王又回来了。我们不敢耽误，坐上了回家的车。我相信，将来的梵净山一定会是一个充满魅力的旅游胜地，我和妈妈说，我还想再去。

I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.
I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an expedition.

Recently I have been in and out of the library a lot to do some research on the term paper for one of the classes. Most professors gave out the review problems already so that the students can study for the final. I think Im doing okay studying for the final.
Besides reviewing materials, Im also planning to host the New Year party of my department. You know there are so many talented people in my Communications major, but they picked me to host the party! Great, isnt it?

Dear Mr. Seaton，
Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the other famous sights. If I\'d gone alone, I couldn\'t have seen nearly as much, because I wouldn\'t have known my way about.
The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was lucky.
I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never forget.
