那是一个风和日丽的早上，我走到了作文教室。开始上课了，老师拿出了自己的作文包神神秘秘地让我们猜里面有什么东西。我有些好奇，里面到底有什么东西呢？有的同学才是一个铅笔盒，可宋老师拿出了一沓稿纸，让我们目瞪口呆。宋老师站在那继续说：“同学们继续猜吧。”同学们兴致勃勃地猜：“是一包糖吧？”这次老师却拿出了一包饼干，还故意夸张地说：“呀，饼干，是不是能吃了呀？”同学们一听都在那欢呼雀跃。没想到宋老师话锋一转接着说：“这饼干可不光用来吃，我们用饼干画画。”什么？用饼干画画？同学们满腹疑问，在下面交头接耳的'讨论着：“怎么用饼干画画呀？这怎么可能吗？”
宋老师在幻灯片上打出了用饼干画画的图案，让我们用饼干咬出图案来，上面有五角星的图案、电话的、三角形的……各种各样，实在是太好玩了！老师一人发了一块饼干，让我照着上面的图案咬出一个图形来。我咬了两个，一个是三角形的，另一个是三角形的。我的同学刘子涵也做了两个，一个是五角星的，一个是心形的，非常美丽。
过了一会儿，比赛结束了，大家都为玩得非常开心。

在所有的扩展方式之中，因果推理法是最受用也是最透彻的方法。凡事先追溯到其原由，再扩展其结果，这是将主题阐述清晰、论述有力并且具有逻辑感的最佳手段。例如在“出国留学利弊”这一题目之前，若考生单纯说“有可能会使青少年学坏”，难免缺乏说服力，但若紧接着扩展“因为孩子高中毕业后思想上还不成熟，若认识不好的朋友会难以抵抗社会上不好的诱惑”，那么此论点一定会让考官眉头舒展，点头认同。由此可见，善用此推理法会让议论文如虎添翼，事半功倍。
