新年的钟声听见，新年到了，烟花冲天闹得，鞭炮响。把夜晚的星空给装饰的五彩缤纷，绚丽多彩。让人们眼花缭乱。从此刻我们已经思念了兔年，回到了风生水起的龙年了！
在新的一年里，无论在车水马龙的大街上还是在狭小的羊肠小道上，都能看见人们节日里喜气的笑脸，大家见面都道一声新年好。让严寒宁静的道路充满著了温暖和喜庆的气息。过年了，人们都走街串巷，去探亲访友，我坚信每个人的手机上都会装满各种各样的祝福短信，还有和亲朋好友之间不停的祝福电话。在新年里，最高兴的就是小朋友了，他们能在新的一年里可以从大人手里获得数量平均的压岁钱，可以去卖他们平时买了的玩具和零食。
我在新的一年里，我一定要之后希望，把我的作文能力和成绩提升，让我能步步高升，我也一定会抗拒寄居自己的坏毛病。其实每个人都和我一样，想在新的一年中能事事成功和长命百岁等等，说明了人们在新的一年——龙年里竭尽了无限的期望和祝福。传达了人们对新的一年的无限热衷。我看见人们在新年里的喧闹景象，我误解到了王安石的《元日》，爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖进唐僧。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。这首诗写了古代人过年的气氛，我们也和古代人过年一样，在新年里放鞭炮把旧年驱走，庆贺新的一年，在新的一年里祝福自己，和古代人一样的目地，都是为了避祸求福。我们在新的一年里在门前再配上喜庆的“桃符”。同时我也祝福人们能在新的一年事事成功，天天龙马精神！

I earnestly hope to lead a healthy and prosperous life in the future. Judging from my aptitude inclination and personality streaks, my ideal life will be that of a scientist, researching, lecturing, and writing books. As I am from a farming family, I particularly enjoy being close to earth. If I can afford to live a pastoral life in the countryside, I will feel most blessed.
As far as social life is concerned, simplicity is what I intend to pursue, so I really don't need too many friends. All these will be mere talk if I am idle now. To attain my goal, I must make a point of training my body and mind. This is a highly competitive society in which everyone is eager to come out on top. That is not only a competition of physical strength and mental power, but a marathon of patience, faith, and perseverance.
Life is not all roses, but with what I am being equipped with by the top teachers in this elite school, I surely deserve a promising prospect.

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
