Dear Sir,
I am writing to seek your advice regarding which subject I should choose as my major, history or computer science. I am studying in the last year in high school now.
Next year, I hope that I will be able to enroll in your college. I began to take a special interest in history when I was a primary school student. I can still remember the historical stories my teachers told in class, so I was wondering if I should continue to study in your college. However, several days age, one of my friends told me that computer science is more popular nowadays.
As a matter of fact, many jobs need IT skills. I was advised that it’s more important to find a job than merely to satisfy personal interest. Therefore, it is now very hard for me to decide which subject I should choose. Must I give up my favorite subject and take employment need as a priority? I would be more than grateful to you if could tell me your advice about this. Your early reply would be highly appreciated.

回家的感觉真好！离家120个小时中，我日日夜夜想念着家的温暖。终于，我又一次回到了这熟悉的家里。五天不见，家的味道有些陌生。我轻轻推开家门，看到了那无人的红木长椅。我走到长椅旁，摸摸它的背椅，啊！它还是这么的光滑，这么的鲜艳。我坐在椅子上，又看到了那美丽的挂毯，上面的孔雀凝视着我，好像在祝贺我的到来。顿时，一股清香扑鼻而来，水仙花开了，正在怒放着，使出了所有的劲，散发出了那所有的香气。我又一次听到了菜地里那浇水的声音，是多么活泼，是多么开朗哇！回家的感觉真好！

家乡的一山一水、一草一木，在我心里都是一幅最美的风景画，欣赏着大自然的美好风光，展望着家乡的美好未来，使我浑身充满力量。家是美好的港湾，家是幸福的支点，家乡的亲情是那么的浓厚。
虽然家里很贫穷，没有大鱼大肉，没有巧克力，但是家又是“富裕”的，有那让我吃不完的红薯、甘蔗，那有各各样的果子。每次回到家里，父母非常高兴，好象隔了几年似的。母亲捧着我的脸仔细端详，充满了慈爱，生怕我在学校吃得不好，长瘦了。严肃的父亲在吃饭时还不停地往我碗里夹菜。

I'm not yet sure whether you exist, though I'd like to believe that you do. While it may not make much logical sense, you've been on my mind lately. I haven't thought much about what you'll look like, how tall you'll be, or what type of car you'll drive — I'm not too concerned with the minor details. However, I have been thinking about a few things I want you to know.
I want you to know that I am happy — right now — as a single, 26-year-old "millennial" who lives in a small apartment with a roommate and eats Chipotle for dinner more times than I care to admit. I love my job, I love my crazy friends and family, and I love spending quality time alone. I want you to know that my life has purpose apart from and before you. When we do meet one day, I want you to understand that I do not expect you to complete me, or to be my God. That's way too much pressure for anyone to bear. I am already complete.
I want you to know that I am not a trophy. Apparently, a lot of guys think this is a compliment. However, I want you to know that I have no desire to be seen as a trophy — a symbol of your own perceived success. I was not raised just to sit and look pretty on anybody's shelf. I want to have intellectual conversations. I want to help you chase your dreams. I want to be your partner, not your prize.

紧张而又忙碌的期末考试结束了，我们便迎来了盼望已久的农历新年，在城里久待的我迫不及待地想回老家过一个喜庆祥和的春节。
农历二十八，我和爸爸、妈妈准备去老家过年。这一天天气很冷，还下着蒙蒙细雨，但我的心情还是很兴奋。
我的老家在遂昌县一个偏僻的村庄，那里没有宽阔平坦的马路，也没有高大漂亮的楼房，但我能感觉到老家浓浓的温情，耳边不禁响起那小伙伴们欢乐的笑声……车子在宽阔的马路上奔驰，半个多小时以后，马路变的弯弯曲曲，而且越来越窄了，爸爸放慢车速，又开了半个多小时，我们来到一座大山下面，通过这些又弯又窄的盘山公路爬上山顶就到老家了，这时候，爸爸怕我晕车，把车子开得更慢了，我催着爸爸快点开车，我的心早已飞回了老家，想快点见到我的爷爷、奶奶，还有我的小伙伴们。
车子开到半山腰，眼前的风景模模糊糊了，雾越来越浓，完全看不清了路边的山和树，犹如来到了人间仙境。爸爸打开了车灯，车子缓缓前行，这样又经过了一个多小时，终于到老家了，爷爷奶奶已经在家门口张望许久。我们刚一下车，他们就急切地迎了上来，拉着我的手问寒问暖，而我的小伙伴们也闻讯纷纷赶来，我想这个年一定会过得丰富而又精彩。
