Dear Sir,
I was very interested in your advertisement in todays edition of The Evening Post and I should like to apply to be a member of the Amazon Expedition team.
I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.
I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an expedition.
If you would like me to attend an interview, I would be able to come at any time convenient to you, (J1 my employers have agreed to give me time off for the purpose.

前些年看的话，可能会以女主的视角为主线，看到她处处受到责难进退两难。看多了，就能感觉到每一个冲突点，都是在拍电影，不是很自然，太多了。每个点都在指向“不懂英语不行”。似乎所有人都在嘲笑她。所以，她找到了学习英语的意义，把它变成了一个刚需，就有了内生动力。
话说这孩子教育得也挺失败的，跟他父亲的影响不无关系，跟印度整体的环境不无关系。
人类社会处在一个巨大的进程当中，总有一天，不平等会消失。
我们中国人（汉族）敢于穿着自己民族的服装（是什么？）出现在曼哈顿吗？
小球洒一地的时候，真的感受到了女主那种绝望，这是她此次来美国最大亮点，之前的麻烦和劳作，都是为了让客人尝到小球时那种惊喜和incredible的赞叹，这是她生命的全部意义，现在，没有了。
有没有中国父母能做到被小孩子破坏成那个样子的时候，不发飙？现实生活中是怎样的？印度父母在这种情况下会不责备孩子？表示怀疑。或者，这只是剧情需要，此处教育孩子不是重点。

摘要式读书笔记就是将书中或文章中一些重要观点、精彩精辟的语句，有用数据和材料我们可以进行摘抄记录在笔记本上，目的是积累各种资料，为科研、教学、学习和工作作好准备。可以按原书或原文系统摘录；也可以摘录重要论点和段落；还可以摘录重要数字。
摘要式读书笔记是注重在读书时把与自己学习、工作、研究的问题有关的语句、段落等按原文准确无误地抄录下来。摘录原文后要注明出处，包括题目、作者、出版单位、出版日期，页码等，便于引用和核实。摘录要有选择地摘录，以是否有用作为摘录的标准。其可分为：
1、索引式读书笔记
索引读书笔记是只记录文章的题目、出处的笔记。如书刊篇目名、编著者、出版年月日、藏书处。如果是书，要记册、章、节，如果是期刊，要记期号，报纸要记年月日和版面，以备日后查找方便。例如：庄照：《也谈为谁立传》，《光明日报·〈史学〉》。
2、抄录原文式笔记
抄录原文读书笔记就是照抄书刊文献中与自己学习、研究有关的精彩语句、段落等作为日后应用的原始材料。摘抄原文要写上分类题目，在引文后面注明出处。

Im glad youll come to Beijing to learn Chinese。 Chinese is very useful， and many foreigners are learning it now。 Its difficult for you because its quite different from English。 You have to remember as many Chinese words as possible。 Its also important to do some reading and writing。 You can watch TV and listen to the radio to practise your listening。 Do your best to talk with people in Chinese。 You can learn Chinese not only from books but also from people around you。 If you have any questions， please ask me。 Im sure youll learn Chinese well。
