我的家乡在吴川市内，是一个又美丽又整洁的好地方。
在我才五岁的那年，吴川还是一个经济不发达的小城。那时人民的生活非常艰苦，到处都是一间间矮矮的小屋子。每天放学的时候，我都会经过这条凹凹不平的小路，偶尔还会有小坑，一不察觉，就会把人绊倒，所以人们都会提起十二分精神。而且那时候的人们都是耕田的。
随着社会的发达，以前那不发达的小城市已变成了繁荣安定的大城市，现在出门到处都可以看到高楼大厦，再不是以前的小屋子了。还有，以前那一条条崎岖的小公路也变成了平坦而宽阔的大公路，车辆来来往往，多不胜数。人们在高处眺望，城市一片深绿，好像变成了一个绿色世界。
在我市的江心岛建造了一个金岛渡假村，那里可美了，听说那屋顶是用金黄色的琉琉瓦所盖成的，金光闪闪，就像一个金碧辉煌的皇宫。这还不算得是最美的。因为这渡假村里还有更美的，那就是花圃。花圃，人们俗称花园，是种花的好地方。那儿的花可多了，简直让人三天三夜也数不完，这些花有的是红色，有的是黄色，有的紫色，有的是粉红色，还有的.是蓝色……每一到春天的时候，这些花就像一个个含羞的小姑娘似的绽放开来，你看，那一朵朵花正在争鲜斗艳，互拥互挤，简直叫人看了不能不拍手，再加上花香引来的蝴蝶也翩翩起舞，这更衬托出花的美，大自然的美，真正构成了一幅美丽的争艳图。
吴川的公园也美。里面的树木都长得很茂盛，差不多可以把整个公园都遮住，树叶密不透风，可以遮太阳，挡风雨。公园里还有一条小溪，溪水十分清晰，清晰到连溪里的小鱼儿都可以看得到。公园里的草地上还摆着石凳，每逢休息的日子，石凳上总是坐满了人……
还有现在的人已经不再像以前那们只是靠耕田来维持生计。他们现在有的在那些大公司上班，有的自己开间店子做老板……
我家乡的变化说也说不尽，希望你有时间能去细细玩赏。
