生活不可能是永远是一帆风顺的，我们总会面临这样或那样的'磨难与挫折。就好比文章中的那对父子，父亲是消极的，在人生的磨难面前他屈服了，软弱了。可以说他失去了直面人生的勇气与对生活的信念，多么可悲，多么无奈。在磨难面前我们也许会失去很多东西，但最重要打的是希望不能丢失。就像潘多拉的盒子，当灾难、疾病、痛苦等一切具有毁灭性的灾难飞出袭击人类的时候，希望还在，在潘多拉最后一层还保留着希望。所以不管灾难多么恐怖，人类因为拥有希望，就有战胜灾难的勇气。
而现在的我们呢?太脆弱。生活中，学习中，工作中稍微有些不如意，我们会自怨自艾。从小被保护得很好的我们似乎忘记了跌倒了还要怎么爬起来，所以才会有韩国自***率世界第一，富士康一跳又一跳，亿万富翁这个开煤自***，那个跳楼自***的……
冰心老人曾说：生命是一条小溪，它从清亮无暇的源头涌出，曲折迂回，磕磕绊绊。不管面临怎样的生活，生活你本身是不会伤害我们的，伤害我们的是我们的态度。生活就是一座又一座的高山，磨难只是在半山腰阻隔我们前进的道路，可是又有什么呢?翻过去不就好了吗?当我们站在山顶俯瞰大地，俯瞰我们曾经走过的路，又是多么愉悦的一件事啊!
