鼎湖湾风景区，属国家2A级旅游区（点），位于灵宝市西阎乡文东村北 600米处，北濒黄河，东西长约3600米，南北宽约1800米，总面积约1万亩。原为大面积荷塘， 1960年前后，因三门峡大坝拦洪致使荷塘被毁。在此后的十多年间，地下泉涌，土肥水丰，草木丛生，芦兰疯长，蛙鸣鱼跃，鸟语花香，形成了鱼网环绕、苇路纵横、荷香婷婷、蒹葭苍苍的梦中绿园。

一天晚上，我和妈妈正兴高采烈地从超市里购物出来。只见，在麦当劳店旁坐着一位身穿破衣服，脚穿一双破鞋的残疾老爷爷。他已经失去双脚，坐一块装有轮子的木板，靠着两只手推，才能慢慢地移动。老爷爷无力地拿出一个又脏又破的碗，在乞讨着。
行人可多了，一位人高马大的小伙子，迈着步子向前走。老爷爷有气无力地说：“年轻人，行行好吧。”小伙子连正眼也不看一下老爷爷，就走了。又一位小姑娘又蹦又跳地过来了，老爷爷拿起碗说：“小妹妹，行行好吧。”小姑娘看了一眼老爷爷，凶巴巴地说：“你是在叫我吗？我又不认识你干什么给你钱呀！真是的。”说完便大摇大摆地走了。老爷爷望了一眼小妹妹，无奈地低下了头
这时，从门里走出来一个美国人士，老爷爷没有上去讨。只见这位美国人士打量了一下老爷爷。然后又思考了一下，便从口袋里掏出了一张二十元，放进老爷爷的铁碗里。老爷爷激动地抬起头，对着这位美国人谢了又谢。还磕着头，美国人马上去扶起他，还摇了摇手，表示不用谢。这二十元钱，对于富人来说，只不过是鸡毛蒜皮，但是对于穷人来说，那有多宝贵呀！看到这一幕，我也不禁想去捐老爷爷几元钱，可是有不敢，最后，我鼓起勇气克服心里的胆小，我也捐了十元钱，老爷爷激动地望着我。美国人看着我说我也笑着说我捐了钱，心里特别高兴。
今天，我帮了一位残疾老爷爷，虽然有很多假的残疾人但是我特别开心，今后，我一定会多帮助残疾人。
