在《草船借箭》中，周瑜看到诸葛亮才华横溢，处处胜过自己，便心生歹念想害死诸葛亮。他以军中缺箭为由，令诸葛亮三天造好十万支箭。谁知诸葛亮满口答应，并立下了军令状。周瑜暗自高兴，满以为这下可以除掉诸葛亮了。而博学多才的诸葛亮，利用他渊博的知识，夜观星象，乘着大雾，去曹营“借”了十万多支箭回来复命，使周瑜的阴谋未能得逞。
在我们的日常生活中，的确有这种人。他们生怕别人超过他，当别人有了成绩、受到别人的赞扬时，他不但不虚心学习，而且，还在别人背后说长道短。这是一种损人不利己的做法，实际上是极其狭隘、卑鄙的庸俗作风。
著名数学家华罗庚就不是这样的人。他小时侯算术成绩很差，还常常不及格。他并没有因此而去嫉妒优秀同学，而是常常勉励自己：别人也是人，自己也是人，别人做得到的，我也做得到。于是，他研究别人为什么考得这么好，取人之长补己之短，最终成为了一位著名数学家，这是一种多么可贵的进取精神啊！
我也有嫉妒别人的时候，当别人考得比我好时，我不是去分析我错的原因，而是希望他下次出个大错，好和我扯平。想起来，真的好惭愧。
嫉妒这个东西，害处十分大。我们一定要从小克服它，做一个品德高尚的人。
