Since then, this powerful bogie turns itself into a cat in daily life to stay with Xiamu to protect him with the condition that Xiamu should give the contract to it after he die. But before that Xiamu decides to try his best to give the name in the contracts to the bogies and let them get free. Thus, a loving, touching, scary story is opened up.
《夏目友人帐》主要讲述了男主人公夏目贵志拥有可以看到妖怪的特殊能力。因为父母双亡他的性格较为孤僻，并且由于他具有特殊的能力，他常辗转在于亲戚之间并被同龄人欺负。虽然他经历了许多不幸，但他依旧有好善良没有埋怨任何人。最终他被有好善良的藤原夫妇收养并进入高中。有一天，他被妖怪追赶躲进神社，不小心打破了一只强大妖怪斑的封印。并牵涉到了他祖母夏目玲子的'遗物—一本同妖怪签订的契约书。之后，这只强大的妖怪平时便变成猫的样子待在夏目身边保护他，但是他的条件是夏目死后要把这本契约书给它。但在此之前夏目决定尽其所能把契约书上的名字还给妖怪们让它们得到自由。由此，一个个温馨、感人、惊险的故事就此展开。

今天，我们学校举行了唱红歌比赛。下午第二节下课，我们都排好队，等待着校长安排。一会儿，我们都从班里拿出凳子，在操场上排了一个大大的方阵，台下许多同学都坐了下来。一会儿，每班都选一个代表去捏纸蛋来排顺序，我们班第四。可同学们还是说：“要是第七多好啊！”“不对，应该是第六，六六大顺嘛！”“不赖了，第四知足吧！”又过了一会儿，还不到一节课，就都唱完了。中间轮到我们时，我十分紧张，心里像揣了一只小兔子一样，“嘭嘭”的直跳，开始唱时，也就没那么紧张了。我们很顺利的唱完了两首歌，而且每一个动作，每一首歌，我都觉得非常完美了。可是得出来的分却不尽人意，9点31分，我们老师并没有参加。所以我们非常遗憾得了最后一名，其他班只是老师参加了而已，所以都加了一分。并不是靠他们自己的实力的来的，并不光荣。
在比赛结束后，老师语重心长的说：“这次失败并不遗憾，我不会指挥，也不会唱歌，是我让大家与奖状擦肩而过，我向大家道歉。”说完深深的鞠了一躬，又眼含热泪地说：“我们以后一定会拿到一个好名次，这次并没有失败，只是成功的起点……”大家都沉默了起来。
我想：这次失败并不怎么可怕，可怕的是我们不团结。只要我们团结，团结就像一把利剑，披荆斩棘，斩断所有的困难。

赵新会弹电子琴，会跳舞，会唱歌等，最令我欣赏的是她那动听的歌喉
