教室里冷静得可怕，老师在讲台上攥着一沓卷子，尖锐的眼睛时而看着试卷，时而扫视四周，同学们都埋头屏气，只有窗户仍在猎猎作响。
“没有一个满分的，其它三个班却都有不少。”老师的声音很低，继续说道：“我把分数念一下。”
“要到我了，到我了。”我知道自己的学号顺序，心中不安地喊着。我的双手不自觉地把手中的书抓的更紧了，双腿在不停地微幅度地打颤，两只眼睛悄悄地向老师窥去。不料，正好撞上了老师严厉的目光，就像雁的长喙刺痛了我的眼睛，我吓的赶紧把头缩回来，额头上也冒出了冷汗。
老师终于念出了我那低得可怜的分数，我整个人一下子就失去了力量，顿时感到天塌地陷，全身都瘫了，只有一个脑袋垂在脖子上。
窗外哗哗地下起了雨，且愈下愈大，窗户的呜呜声夹杂着雨水的鞭打声此起彼伏，我的双目也迷离于试卷与教室之间。
终于挨到了放学，我抄起书就往外逃，想逃离这所学校。回到家中，母亲早已做好了我平日最爱吃的菜，可是我满脑子都是那张分数低的可怜的试卷。母亲仿佛早已察出了不对劲，放下碗筷，温柔地对我说：“嘉城，是不是在学校出了什么事？”
我没有言语，手里拿着筷子还悬浮在空中，口里嚼着几粒饭却不知其味。终于，我忍不住了，抽咽了起来。
母亲这下就着急了，急忙抽出纸巾，坐在我的身旁，用一只手将我抱住，另一只手帮我擦去眼泪。
“是不是有人欺负你了，告诉妈妈，妈妈替你做主。”
“不是。”
“那是怎么回事？”
我犹豫了一下，没有出声。
妈妈把我抱得更紧了，“来，告诉妈妈。”
“我、我考试考差了、”我及其艰难地吐出了几个字。
母亲沉默了一会儿，然后把我的头转过来，柔和而又坚定地对我说：“一次失败了不重要，要知道一时的成败算不了什么，只要从失败中吸取经验，下次就会做得更好。”
我抬起头，正好对上了母亲的眼神。那是一种怎样的眼神啊！宛如春日里绵绵的细雨，吐呐芬芳，滋润心田；又似冬日的一缕阳光，融化冰雪，带来温暖；那眼神里包含的是一棵树叶凋零、覆满白雪的参天大树对新的生机-----春天的无限期待。
母亲的话让我的心池安定下来，逐渐沉淀，又还原了那一份清澈。而母亲那期待的眼神，更是盛开在心池中央、永不凋零的荷花。
