今天是腊月二十四，我早上出门散步回来，看到了左右的邻居都在进行大扫除。我跑回去问妈妈为什么要大扫除，妈妈说腊月二十四俗称“扫尘”也就是过年前最后一次打扫卫生。
看到邻居家都在大扫除，我们家也不能落后，于是妈妈说先从扫地开始。我拿起笤帚和簸箕，和妈妈一起分工打扫起来。我们两个一起打扫，果然速度非常快，不一会儿就把地板上的灰尘都扫干净了。妈妈说还要用墩布再把地拖一遍，我用水把墩布先打湿，然后有顺序的把里里外外的屋子都拖了一遍，地板上就干净的能照见人影了。
打扫完地板后，已经到中午了，妈妈给我做了许多好吃的，说要好好奖励我一下，我下午还要帮妈妈干活。吃完午饭，还要大扫除，接下来是把角角落落都要擦一遍，我和妈妈干得可认真了，擦完以后又给花草浇水，整理房间，洗衣服……妹妹回来以后，也参加了大扫除。我们打扫得有理有条，可把我和妈妈累坏了。
通过这次大扫除，我体会到了妈妈平时干活的辛苦，我以后不光要大扫除时帮助妈妈，还要在生活中帮妈妈做一些力所能及的事情，分担妈妈的辛苦劳累。

妈妈说：“你一定要仔细，先用湿抹布擦，再用干抹布擦，保证会干净。”我照着妈妈的做法，门被我擦的干净还会微微发亮光呢!
我正得意的时候，谁知爸爸来检查我的劳动成果，我洋洋得意地说保证没问题，爸爸笑着说：“嗯，非常干净，小贝也会帮爸爸妈妈干活了。”今天的大扫除让我们十分开心，因为我们家已经焕然一新啦!

我先扫地，左手拿在扫把下面，左手拿在扫把上面，弯着腰，眼睛瞪得和鸡蛋一样大，直盯着扫把头，一点一点认认真真地扫地。如果有扫不掉的灰尘，我就用铁尺仔仔细细地刮掉。如果我扫了一遍没扫干净，我就再扫一遍，总之，我会成功的。不光要扫地，还要扫出顺序来，可不能这里扫一下，那里扫一下，横扫一下，竖扫一下。如果竖扫，就一直竖扫。经过我的打扫，家里已经干干净净了。
下面开始拖地，我弯着腰、翘着屁股、眼睛都瞪得跟碗一样大，直盯着拖把头。拖地，当然要准备一桶水了！拖地也有二个要求：一、要拖就要拖干净；二、应该拖得有顺序。要横着拖就一直横着拖。经过我的一番埋头苦干，家里都能照出影子来啦！你知道灰尘到哪儿去了？看看那桶水，哇！刚倒出来的时候水非常清澈，现在却是乌黑乌黑的了。原来灰尘是跑到水里去啦！
