summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

蝴蝶可以飞，天空会保护它；蚯蚓会钻土，土地会保护它；那我呢？我只是一只柔弱的蜗牛啊！妈妈说：我们不能靠天也不能靠地，所以我们有壳啊！
哦！壳是吗？那个笨重而丑陋的壳是吗？没有壳我会更快乐吧！我不曾一次次这样的问过自己。我也曾一次次想摆脱那个笨重的壳，但刀刺般的疼痛让我不得放弃
我拖着疲惫的身子来到妈妈面前。我想飞我想跳我想泪水如珠帘般划过我的脸颊。孩子，我们不能靠天也不能靠地，我们要靠自己呀！妈妈意味深长地说。
靠自己是吗既然不能改变，那么就好好利用这个壳吧！我和伙伴们一起谈笑干活，日子也过的津津有味。
直到某一天呦！是小蜗牛啊！是蝴蝶姐姐的声音。你早啊，蝴蝶姐姐！我笑着说。小蜗牛你走路越来越快了！怎么不去试试爬山啊？蝴蝶姐姐笑道，怎对呀！我怎么没想过去爬山呢？这正是一个看看我修炼成果的好机会啊！
第二天早上，公鸡才叫第二声。我早已出了门，迈上了登山之旅。刚开始的`时候我一路上走走看看，还哼着小曲，心里好不快乐。可不到一会儿，我已经气喘吁吁。我曾一次次想过放弃，但一想到同伴们的鼓励，一想到心灵对自己的呼唤，我就有勇气继续走下去。我发现。。我开始慢慢喜爱这个壳了。
不知走了多少路，夜幕悄悄降临。突然，天空哗地一声下起雨来。我连忙缩进壳里，壳里温暖而舒适，我很快就进入了梦乡。
天刚蒙蒙亮，我已起床，继续我的登山之旅！经过昨晚的一场雨，地面变的湿漉漉的。对别人来说或许是困扰，但对于喜爱潮湿的蜗牛来说，这莫过于是最好的恩赐了！
终于！在黄昏之前，我登上了山顶。喜悦之情难以掩饰！我成功了！妈妈！我成功了！我知道我迈出的只是一小步，前面还有很多的山。但这一步也是很大的一步。
我，是一只快乐的蜗牛。

时间过得真快，转眼又是一年，今天上午，学校开始放寒假了。我与以往放假时一样，总会在假期开始的第一天，订一个切实可行的计划，目的是为了能够使自己在假期中，过得更加的充实和快乐，并能学习到更多的校外知识，欢欢喜喜喜过个年。
我要培养我的兴趣和爱好，我要跟爸爸一起练练书法，长大以后也能够写一手好字。多看电视里的新闻报道，了解社会。我还要多锻炼身体，保持身体健康。
我要坚持写、作文。以前，我写的日记“干***”，主要就是缺少观察;以后，我打算每天看三十分钟的课外书，在寒假期间把一些所见所闻记录下来，并把有一些有意义的人或事写成文章。看一些优秀的作文，学习别人的写作长处。在网上查找写的好的文章，向人家学习学习。另外，我还要一个小册子，起名为“日记小材料”，平时发生一点小事都要留心观察，把一些精彩的东西记录下来，那可是写文章的好材料哟!到时候要写东西，那就不愁“没事可写”了!
走亲访友，做到文明礼貌，尊敬长辈，向亲戚朋友介绍自己的学习情况，向同龄人交流学习心得。
这就是我的寒假计划，我不但要加强学习，也要多帮爸妈做事，大家觉得我这个寒假计划怎么样?

睁开朦胧的睡眼，我看到的是阴沉沉的天而不是鸟语花香。慢吞吞的穿好衣服，走到餐厅，我看到的不是香喷喷的早餐而是一张便条。背着书包去上学，我看到的不是人与人之间在欢歌笑语而是一个个低着头走路的“僵尸”。这一切的一切，让我糟糕的心情，一下子沉到了万丈深渊。
为什么那个站在讲台是为同学们讲解题的`人不是我?为什么那个自信满满的人不是我？为什么那个面对困难无所畏惧的人不是我？我也想在众人面前大展英姿。
正巧，明天学校要组织一场演讲比赛，我想了又想，觉得这是一次好机会。于是我第一次主动报名参加了比赛。
回到家，我准备好材料，背完了，我找到了妈妈，想让妈妈为我提一些建议。我如同背课文一样背了一遍演讲稿，妈妈看后说：”演讲是要如讲故事一样讲给大家，要声情并茂。并且还可以加一些手势。”听了妈妈的话我受益匪浅。然后，又给妈妈演讲了一遍，妈妈看后微笑着点了点头。
第二天来到学校，我为了锻炼一下自己的胆量，站到了讲台上。可是，此时我却一个字也说不出来，感觉脸如同被火烤着一样，不知所措，抬起头看着同学们一张张嘲笑的脸，我哭着跑出了教室。
我坐在学校的凉亭里，想起同学们一张张嘲笑的脸，回忆起那历历在目的一切，我突然想到了放弃，可是，当我拭干泪水仔细欣赏着变幻莫测的大千世界时，我感觉那五彩缤纷的花儿在向我微笑；那在天空中自由飞翔的小鸟在向我加油呐喊；那火辣辣的阳光在向我投来肯定的目光。顿时，我知道我一定可以，我一定能追逐到我的梦想。
在比赛时，心中的恐惧烟消云散，顺利完成了比赛。当我听到台下观众们热烈的掌声，看着观众们赞许的目光时，我知道我追逐到了我的梦想。
梦想悠悠扬扬，如黑夜里最亮的明灯；如沙漠中最甘甜的清泉；如大海中最细的沙石。追逐梦想，展开梦的翅膀，在天空中自由翱翔。

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
