在我们班，有一个写作能力特别强的人，她从小就立志要当作家，所以她的作文经常被老师当做范文来念，考试时的作文也经常得满分，所以我们称她为“作家”。虽然我的作文也不错，可每当我看她的作文时，我才发觉自己的作文是那么空洞无物，远远不及她，所以我就下定决心要请教她写作的秘诀。她告诉我说：“写作文一定要善于观察，善于发现，把发现或感受及时记录在一个本子上，还要经常阅读作文选，揣摩其中的技巧，再把文章中的好词好句摘抄下来，以方便在以后写作的时候加以运用。我每天坚持写一句比较有意义，有哲理的话，日久天长，这些句子就会经常浮现在我的脑子中，这样你写作时那些文字就会如流水般哗啦哗啦地倾泻而出，这样就有进步。”听完她的\'经验之谈后，我有了很深的感悟，便决定按照这位“导师”的说法去做。

就这样，我每天只要一有空就看课外书，并摘抄优美词句，在生活中睁大眼睛去观察，坚持写日记积累素材。有一次，考试作文是写动物，我想起了我家的小狗，脑海中顿时浮现出了喂它狗食，给它洗澡，带它出去玩等情景。于是洋洋洒洒写了近八百字！那一篇作文我也被老师当范文念呢！同学们都为我鼓掌！我心里洋溢着自豪，当然还有对“导师”的感激。现在，我的作文本中经常能看见A甚至A+。我有这样的收获完全是因为我班“作家”的缘故，所以我十分感谢她的指导。因为她，我的作文才能更上一层楼啊！你知道吗？这位作家名字叫喻子欣，今年已经考上了深圳市外国语学校！

在当今社会中，人们都在为提高自己而努力，可有时却放不下面子，我们要使自己更加完美，就必须把自己的位置放得低些，这样才能汲取别人的有点，取人之长，补己之短。

It was the first day of our summer holiday.All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have two months to do things we love to do.We are free.Although we have some homework.But we can finish them in several days.And the rest time we can make good use of.My god! We have been very tired after hard studying.In summer holidays,I want to have full sleep and eat good food in order to replenish myself. Last but not the least,I will have a good rest.

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.

actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.

so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

At college, I missed my parents a lot. As the term was drawing to an end, I eagerly looked forward to going home. And I planned to do a thousand and one things during the vacation. Above all, I wanted to help my mother with housework. I also wished to read many hooks which my teachers had recommended. However, at home, my mother would never let me do anything. She completely deprived me of sharing her work. As soon as I opened a book to read,she would sit down beside me and ask me about all kinds of things at the college. To please her,I told her one thing after another,and soon I forgot all about books. Even when I was actually reading,she would, now and then,insist that I should eat an egg or drink a cup of tea. When I left home at the end of the vacation, not a thing in my plan had been carried out. But I felt very happy. I believed much more deeply than before in the old saying: Home, sweet home. There’s no place like home!
