Poisonous gasses from factories also make the air so dirty. The whole balance of nature is being destroyed as a result of our ignorance of the environmental protection.

I’m very happy to receive your letter, and I’m glad to hear that you will go to China to learn Chinese here. I have already found a fiat for you. It is on Fangcao Street, which is not far from Jianxin Chinese School. Bus No.11 can take you there, and it is one stop before the Chinese School. The flat is on the third floor with 3 rooms, one of which is bedroom, the other two are bathroom and kitchen. 即文章的开头先描写景物，渲染气氛，给读者以身临其境的感觉，为烘托人物，触景生情作了铺垫。
例：寒冬腊月，冷风刺骨。（陈漾《重逢》）
例：干干净净的蓝天上，偷偷溜来一团乌云，风推着它爬上山头。（高风《金黄的大斗笠》）开头写景暗示有雨将至，为下文姐姐给弟弟送伞作了很好的铺垫。
在开头运用景物描写时要注意两个方面：1.不能单纯为写景而写景，所谓景语即情语，景物描写的目的是为了衬托人物，渲染气氛，烘托感情，感染读者，引起共鸣。2.景物描写要抓住特征，遣词用句要准确，要适合下文内容的展开和人物情感的抒发。
