一个萝卜一个坑。他们都规规矩矩地待在自己的坑里，一个紧挨着一个，默默地生长着。
一天，排头那个萝卜被选拔走了。于是，萝卜们平静的'生活被打破了。大家都紧盯着排头那个空出来的坑，议论着谁将有可能被安排进那个坑。那个坑好啊，在最前面，光线好，视野开阔，阳光充足，土壤肥沃，接近水源。更重要的是进了那个坑，下一个被选拔的就是你啦。大家都希望自己能成为幸运的宠儿。
一个星期过去了，上面还是没有动静。萝卜们按捺不住了，于是四处打听。这时，主人说话了：“你们每一个萝卜都很优秀，都有可能被安排进头坑，这让我很为难。为了做到公平、公正、公开，我们决定通过进行选拔。”
萝卜们听了都很兴奋。是啊，都在一块地里长着，差别能有多大呢？还是考试好，这是目前最为有效的一种办法，人类还每年用它来选拔公务员呢！
第二天，主人就下来收取考试费。其中报名费200元，试卷费60元，面试费30元，体检费150元……萝卜们很配合，一个上午就交齐了全部费用。然后，就各自开始了紧张的备考工作……
一个月后，所有的萝卜都怀着兴奋而紧张的心情参加了笔试。结果出来，全部通过。然后他们又参加面试和体检。综合成绩出来，萝卜们一片惊呼，成绩的高低竟然和他们在地里的排列顺序完全一致。
于是，全体萝卜向前挪了一个坑。虽然还是一个萝卜一个坑，一个紧挨着一个，但毕竟都前进了一个坑。萝卜们心里似乎都很舒坦，又似乎不很舒坦。

When I was in high school, one of my classmates sit right beside me. His name is ChenLiang. He is my unforgettable person in my life.
I remembered my mathematics was just mediocre at that time, but he was extraordinary and excellent in calculating and solving mathematic questions. He often received perfect scores. Of course, I wished I could reach at his level. Since we talked all day long, I asked how he could solve those difficult questions. He was so patient and polite to answer my sometimes ridiculous thinking. Gradually, I built my confidence at mathematics and finally passed the college entrance exam.
Now, we are apart, but I still remember his great attitude and willing in study. I am so obliged to my classmate, who is my friend always and forever.

One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.
