People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 我的家乡，有我最爱的浩瀚的大海。它宽广辽阔，浩浩荡荡，神秘莫测。它有时波涛汹涌，像只猛虎;有时风平浪静，像位温柔的母亲;有时微波粼粼，金光闪烁，如仙境一般。
早晨，海面是那么明静透彻，一轮红日从东方冉冉升起，把整个大海照的红彤彤的。白云在蓝蓝的天空中飘动，海鸥贴近海面快乐的飞舞，真是“海阔凭鱼跃，天高任鸟飞”!海水哗哗的冲上海滩，飞溅起洁白闪光的波浪，波浪渐渐地向岸边移来，越来越近，冲在沙滩上，泛出了白花，溅起了水珠，又回到了海里去了。如果你向远处一望，海水和天空似乎是同一种颜色，已经分不清哪儿是海，哪儿是天空，海和天好像连在了一起……这一切，都显得那么美丽，那么迷人!
黄昏涨潮的时候，大海却变成另一副模样。它变得向一个无边的战场。海风吹着尖厉的号角声，海浪似乎是千百乘铁骑，向海岸猛烈的攻击着，发出隆隆的怒吼声。岸上千斤重的大石，给他轻轻一拂，就淹没到海地去了。
到了晚上，狂怒的大海平静了，光线也渐渐暗了下去，好像谁不小心打翻了颜料瓶，天幕上染了一层深蓝色，簇拥着盈盈皓月从海上冉冉上升，清辉把周围映成一轮彩色的光晕，月光悄悄的照在大海上，海面上鳞光熠熠，好似千万条银色的鱼儿在海中跳跃游嬉。盈盈的海水一直荡漾到脚边，却又缓缓地退了回去，像慈母拍着将睡未睡的婴儿似的。大海上一片寂静。波浪轻轻地吻着岩石，睡觉了似的。在平静、深暗的岩石上，月光辟了一条狭长的明亮的路，闪闪地颤动，银蛇舞动一般。远处灯塔上的红光镶在黑暗的空间，像是一块宝石。它和那海面银光在我们面前揭开了海的神秘??那不是狂暴的不可测的可怕的秘密，那是幽静的和平的愉悦的神秘。
这就是我家乡的大海，它是我依恋的地方……
