去北京之前爸爸直接告诉我：长城太陡了，你就不要爬了。同学告诉我：台阶太高了，难爬，我都没爬上。我和从小一起长大的表妹说起：人生难得一次，死也要爬上去。
那天去长城坐了两个多小时的车，早餐没吃好又有点晕车。我们爬的是天下第一雄关——居庸关，站在长城脚下时妄自菲薄地想长城也不是很高，肯定能爬上。因为时间原因，书记给我们选了一条最陡的路。刚开始上长城时人很多，可以说是很讨厌的拥挤，但越往上越觉得看到人就是动力。长城设计的很巧妙，就是在爬的时候你能看到最高的地方只有下一个烽火台，你永远不知道后面还有几个烽火台，还有多远，如果你不一直爬，你永远都不知道终点在哪里。我不想追究它的设计是否有意，有怎样的含义和作用。我唯一确定的是这样的长城真的很折磨人。作为体育从小学一年级开始就一直倒数第一的宅女，我在期间的状态分三个阶段。
第一阶段：满怀信心地、轻松地爬。觉得长城没有想象中的陡，甚至诧异第一雄关的称号。那时并不知道到后面我得为我的无知付出怎样的代价。最高的烽火台是18号，而我第一阶段状态的结束在2号烽火台，却感觉体力还剩一半，我第一次坐下休息了。我知道对于很多人来说再上几个烽火台也不会觉得累，于是在北京第一次我对自身体力的失去了自信。虽说下长城后得知杨洋老师只爬了两个烽火台，我的自信就回来了，但当时心情一下就变得紧张了。
第二阶段；失去信心、靠意志力支撑着痛苦地爬。这个阶段爬了大概十个烽火台，每爬一个休息一会，期间擦了多次药水和吃了几次巧克力以防昏眩。每时每刻都有要晕倒的感觉，汗如雨下，把背包浸湿，耳边出现耳鸣，把外界的声音隔绝只剩下自己急促的呼吸声。已顾不上被太阳烤的热辣辣裸露的皮肤、手扶铁栏杆的地方烫出的水泡，只剩下一步一步数着台阶向上爬的如行尸走肉般的我。我无数次的想要放弃，可笑的竟是我那优柔寡断的性格鼓励了我，我对自己说：上去固然艰难，但你现在怎么下去？脚都软了，真是不可谓不谓上山容易下山难。最后实在坚持不住的时候就把山顶想成自己理想的大学，一遍又一遍地羞辱自己：连长城都爬不上去的人，你凭什么认为你可以上大学，拼搏的高三也要这般放弃吗！这一下倒好，学习的压力也被我带出来了，自己对于父母不信任的不甘心，对于学习成绩的不甘心，对于不被认可的不甘心的情绪被激发了，一度哽咽地爬着阶梯，想起来还真是是悲壮啊。结果晕车时不适的症状也被带出来了，在烽火台里的垃圾桶吐了。吐完后倒是觉得轻松了些，还在继续爬，竟然被我追上了一小分队。于是我的内在激励变为团体激励，进入了我的第三个状态。
第三阶段：重拾信心、体力透支艰难地爬。这个阶段基本上体力透支的厉害，每爬二十个台阶就要站一下，每次小队在前面准备休息完时，我才来到休息点，因为怕落下更多所以基本没怎么休息。期间一直担心爬上去下不去，一位家长就安慰我说上去了就一定下的.来，还为我遮阳。要是平时她这样和我说我可能不会有感觉，但当时真的感到很温暖，很受鼓励。这应该就是为什么人应从善的原因吧，因为你可能不会知道一点小小的关怀会给人多大的鼓励和温暖。爬的过程不觉得长城有多漂亮，毕竟阳春的山也漂亮，从小也在山上玩大的。但是到顶的时候才发现长城有一种霸气，他是雄伟的美，震撼人心。
这次虽然没去多少地方，但心中梦寐的北大未名湖，大剧院，鸟巢、水立方、故宫、天安门广场都去了，北京的美也领略了，很满足。还听了清华教授的让我感动的落泪的演讲。真的感谢学校提供的机会，和带队老师的的努力和关怀。
