these young people are wrong. in my opinion every student should have a knowledge of housework. after all, they will have a family of their own, and they should do their part in keeping a good home. boys should also learn to do housework, for what will they do if they remain single? though not all boys remain single, yet they will be very helpful in the family if they know some housework. anyhow they will not lose anything, but, on the contrary, they will gain something useful.

for what i said above, we can find some eamples of our fellow-students studying abroad. all young men do housework as girls do. someone would argue that we can employ servants. this is true. however, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? we just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. and what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ? we must work for ourselves. why not start to learn to do housework now or else it will be too late? everyone should learn to do housework. what do you think about my idea, boys and girls?

这句话深刻指出了大与小的辩证关系。有些人常常把大与小割裂开来，以为大就是大，小就是小，而不能看到其中的有机联系。无独有偶，三国时刘备在给后主刘禅的遗诏中曾提到：

如果说老子的话是用生动、形象的比喻揭示了“毫末”与“合抱之木”、“累土”与“九层之台”、“足下”与“千里之行”的辩证关系，晓谕人们要重视“毫末”、“累土”、“足下”的`话，那么刘备便是直言不讳地告诫人们：不要轻视“小事”，“小事”是“大业”的基础。

前苏联著名昆虫学家柳比歇夫从青年时代开始实行时间统计法。他详细记下自己时间的支出，掌握了支配时间的主动权，避免了时间的浪费。出门旅行，他看小部头的书；学习外语。利用时间的“下脚料”。在实地考察各种害虫的空闲时间里，他搜集了一万三千多只、三百多种地蚤标本，比当时动物研究所的标本还多出五倍。正是这个对时间“斤斤计较”的人，在一生中取得了丰硕的科研成果，发表了七十多部学术著作，写了一万多张稿纸的论文，内容涉及昆虫学、哲学、遗传学等等。柳比歇夫的实践告诉我们：伟大的成就正是靠分分秒秒的时间、一点一滴的辛勤劳动获得的。分分秒秒，点点滴滴，日积月累，奇迹就创造出来了。

巴甫洛夫曾要求青年科学工作者要学习做科学上的琐碎工作，应当“研究事实，对比事实，积累事实”，以便有朝一日，让理论张开“翅膀”“飞腾”。而“事实”的‘，积累”，需要科学家以谨慎耐心的态度不懈地观察，专心致志，反复地实验和研究。柳比歇夫如果不是抓紧零星时间学习研究，科学工作者如果不是一次次地探求，一个个地积累数据，那么，众多的学术论文、划时代的科学发展从何而来？

中国乒乓球称雄乒坛，为世人瞩目；中国年轻的芭蕾舞、杂技、歌唱演员在国际比赛中展屡获奖，以精湛的表演艺术征服了欧洲的艺术家、评论家，成绩可谓显赫。然而，如果乒乓健儿不是在平时千百次训练时一个球一个球地练，演员们不是在平时千百次练功时一个姿势、一个动作、一个音符地钻研，苦苦追求艺术的完美，又怎能取得如此巨大的成绩？

所以，“毫末”般的“小事”是摘取事业成功桂冠的阶梯，是事业结出丰硕果实的沃土。如果拒绝做“小事”，那么伟大的理想永远是“空中楼阁”。

我们，十五六岁的青少年，正处在风华正茂的黄金时代，美好的未来在召唤我们。每当谈到理想，我们每个人头脑中都会出现一个未来的自己：科学家、艺术家、企业家、社会活动家、体育冠军……然而这些理想的实现，全在于今天每一堂课、每一次作业、每一次锻炼、每一次活动的努力啊！

放假的一天，我在家里很无聊，不能看电视也不能上网玩游戏，由于妈妈说怕把眼睛弄近视。我不知道该干什么好。于是，我低头看看客厅的地板，地板上有很多黑黑的脚印和一层厚厚的灰尘，我想：肯定是妈妈很长时间没有拖地扫地。平时妈妈上班那么累，而且我还在地上扔一些果皮纸屑，不如，我就帮妈妈做一次家务吧！

说做就做。我先拿着扫帚和撮子，用扫帚把地上的果皮纸屑扫进撮子里，然后把垃圾倒掉，就开始拖地。我先拿一个桶，然后拧开水龙头，把里面接一半水，再用拖把沾一点水，把水沥干。我拿着拖把来到客厅，刚想开始拖地，就想起妈妈拖地时对我说的话：拖地时要右手向下左手向上的拿着拖把，要不然，地就拖不干净。我先把拖鞋底弄干净，然后按妈妈的方法拿拖把，从门旁边开始拖。我拖一遍觉得很累，而且地也没有拖干净，就产生想放弃的念头，我心想：要是我放弃，不就是半途而废吗？所以我不能放弃。我拖10分钟，终于把地拖好，看见客厅的地板干干净净的，我很开心，这时候才知道成功的喜悦。

今天我很开心，由于我不仅仅学会拖地，还从这件事中明白一个道理：做任何事情都不能半途而废，一定要坚持到底。而且我以后要多帮妈妈做一些力所能及的事，在家里做妈妈的好帮手！
