大年三十的晚上，奶奶脸上笑开了花，喜气抚平了她那布满菊花的脸庞。餐桌上的东西可真耀眼：烧鹅、醋鱼、椒盐虾、红烧肉，香味十足；烙饼、烧卖、蒸饺，样样齐全；再加上，炒芥蓝、蒜蓉青菜、排骨肺片汤把个嘴巴吃得油油的。菜香溢满了整个屋子，我们几个小鬼头个个涨红了脸，眼睛瞪得老大，眼睛瞄住了心仪的菜，生怕好吃的被人抢走。
这是我的！小弟死死盯着小妹。小妹紧紧抓着那香喷喷、令人垂涎三尺的鸡大腿，撅着嘴巴，眼里都要挤出小豆豆了。哥哥连忙以迅雷不及掩耳之势，一把将他碗中的鸡大腿塞进小弟正张得大大的嘴巴里，才平息了一场风波。

除夕的夜晚，家家门前都高高掛起大红的灯笼，窗上贴上窗花，门上贴上对联，把里里外外打扫的干干净净，人人都欢欢喜喜准备着过年。说起 中国人过年，那才叫喜庆，首先是团圆：无论有多远，不管有多难，都要在除夕夜前回到家，与家人见上一面，道声平安，这叫与家人团圆。其次是聚餐：除夕夜之前早早就准备好了各种年货，各种拿手好莱，各种地方特产，单等除夕之夜一块端上桌，五光十色、五花八门、堪称“满汉全席”，再配上各种美酒，你来我往，推杯换盏，美酒配佳肴，生活比蜜甜，让人陶醉，让人喜欢。其三是热闹：你看那除夕的夜晚，新年的钟声和着祝福的鞭炮，砰砰啪啪响彻云天，东方放着闪光雷，西方点燃了魔术弹，穿梭中绽放出五颜六色的光彩，呼啸着扶摇直上像一颗颗流星冲向云天，似一树树银花份外耀眼。看吧南方的夜空一颗伞状的礼花似彩蝶飞舞，北方的夜空又亮起了红色的晚霞似天女散花。天南地北到处是烟花的海洋，火树银花绚丽灿烂让人眼花缭乱。其四是庆功：除夕的夜晚，大家围坐一团，酒足饭饱后谈论的话题也换了焦点，这一年你为家里增添了多少财富，这一年你为家中做了什么贡献，这一年你的成绩有了多少提高，这一年你还有哪儿做的不圆满。全家人其乐融融交流着感情，交换着经验，但孩子们最盼望的还是压岁钱，等到新年的钟声响起，等到孩子们向长辈拜过年，老辈们这时给孩子们分发着压岁钱，有条件的给几百，再有条件的给几千，再再有条件的给几万。孩子们兴高采烈，红光满面。
除夕的夜晚，不仅仅是一次团圆，一顿美餐，一次祝福，一次拜年，更重要的是一份孝心，一份关怀，一次欢聚，一次庆功餐。她传承了中华民族的传统美德，她传承了在外学到各种经验，通过这一次次的传承，她能使我们伟大的祖国国富民强、国泰民安。
除夕的夜晚，空气中到处弥漫着鞭炮的硫磺味，家家户户门前都有一堆爆竹爆炸后的纸片，这些纸片片随风飞舞，刮得大街小巷别处都是红乎乎的一片。给人们生存的环璄造成了严重的污染。人们在享受喜庆热闹的同时，又破坏了环璄增加了污染，这些惨痛的教训值得人们深思与借鉴。为此还是建议大家少抽一支烟，少吐一口痰，少开一天车，少放一掛鞭，让水更绿，让天更蓝，让我们每天的生存空间少受伤害，少受危胁，少受污染。
