“腊月二十四，担尘扫房子”的风俗由来已久。
每年过年以前，看到妈妈一个人忙里忙外地大扫除，心里很想帮妈妈一下。今年我看到妈妈又要大扫除了，就自告奋勇地对妈妈说：“妈妈，每次看到您那么辛苦地打扫卫生，今天我帮您一起打扫好不好。”妈妈看了我一眼说：“欣欣你去做作业吧，这事妈妈会做的”。可是我坚定地说：“我自己的房间我自己来打扫，因为我已经大了。”妈妈看我这么认真就微笑地点头了。
我像妈妈一样，戴上袖套龙，围上围裙，开始整理起我的房间。因为是第一次所以我不知道从哪里开始下手。我走进房间，“哦，天啊”！书架上堆满了书，复习资料，笔，尺，简直就是一个垃圾场，对于我这个新手，实在太不给力了。还是在妈妈的引导下，我先把书架上所有的书，都搬到书桌上，让他们来一个“叠罗汉”，还有一些笔筒，字典，放在凳子上，只剩一个光脱脱的书架了。仿照妈妈的样子，我先将抹布浸湿，再挤上一点儿洗洁精，在书架上轻轻地来回擦着，泡泡越来越多，犹如一个个顽皮的小精灵，在我的手上，书架上，抹布上不停地跳跃着，看着白色的泡沫渐渐地变成了灰白色。这时我把抹布在水斗里洗干净，再擦掉桌子上的泡沫，洗了又擦，擦了又洗，直到把书架上的泡沫全部洗干净，这时的书架像脱去了灰蒙蒙的衣服，换上了一件洁白的衣裳。接下来我把书桌上的书一本一本整整齐齐地摆放在书架的第一层，把字典放在书架的第二层，旁边放一些笔筒，还有我书法要用的卡纸。这样原本乱乱的.书架，经过我的整理，完全变了一个模样。
接下来我要整理我的书桌，电热台板，台灯都用抹布仔仔细细地擦干净，把他们的位置重新布置了一下。我还把我心爱的电子琴换上可爱的套子，床头柜和大衣柜也被我洗了一把脸。最后是我的拿手好戏，就是拖地板，因为这是我在学校经常做的事。经过了两个多小时的忙碌，看看一尘不染的房间，我大喊“妈妈，我大功告成了”！脸上露出了甜甜的微笑。
通过了这次劳动，使我更加明白妈妈劳动的辛苦；
通过了这次劳动，使我明白了快乐在劳动之中；
通过了这次劳动，使我明白了快乐是用汗水换来的！
