大家是否还记得这样一个故事情节，在电影《搭错车》中，小美虽然不是佟林的亲生女儿，可是很小的时候，他就带着小美到工厂里上班，他的妈妈一直反对他抱养这个小女孩，可是他不顾妈妈的反对，一个人独自在外照顾小美，由于工厂里发生了一场火灾，让佟林失去工作，可是他并没有因此把小美送给他人。几年过去了，小美长大了，该到上学的年龄。佟林开始寻找工作来筹集女儿的学费，他毫不犹豫地选择了收卖废品这个职责。他的好朋友曾劝过他说：你有这么好的`技术，为什么不把它利用起来，到别处再找个与你学到的技术靠边的工作呢？他直摇头，他用笔在纸上写下了想对他朋友说的话，内容是：只要小美能够在我身边，即使工作再苦再累，也是值得的。听了这番话后，我们便由此被触动了，一位良师发现小美具有唱歌的天赋，即学习音乐的潜能，想让小美来省城读书，可是花费太高了，小美考虑父亲的状况，决定留爸爸在身边，可佟林偏要小美去读最好的学校。
终于，功夫不负有心人，佟林多年来一直坚持靠卖收废品来赚取女儿的学费，并将她送进了宜安市音乐学院，使她参加过多种比赛并因此而拿冠军，这些事迹打动了千万人的心。
看过《搭错车》，便想起我的爸爸，他常年一人在外打工，支撑我们这个家庭。他只是一个普普通通的工人，看他承载着家人的厚望，自己不舍得花钱，总是把最好的留给我和妈妈，以前看到别人同学的父母都是在公司，银行等体面的单位上班，觉得我的父母的职业很丢人。陪老爸一起看过《搭错车》之后，才真正明白了，不管做什么样的职务、事业，只要靠奋斗、拼搏而得来的果实，都是光荣的。其实做什么不重要，重要的是你以什么样的心态来面对你的职务和事业。人生无差别，事业也无差别，职业都是平等的。
