中午，突然下起大雨。雨过天晴，我和几个小朋友一起来到草坪上面玩，我发现草丛中有许多小蜗牛，它们可爱极了。
小蜗牛的壳是圆形的，壳上面还有一圈一圈的花纹，和棒棒糖上面的一圈一圈的花纹差不多。蜗牛有大有小，小的只有绿豆那么大，大的有一个小桔子那么大。小蜗牛的触角像两根叉开的天线。据有关资料介绍，蜗牛有两千多颗牙齿，它的口都看不到，它竟然有这么的牙齿，太惊人了。
小蜗牛爬得很慢，一分钟还爬不到两厘米，它爬的时候身后还拖着一条又短又细的尾巴，它边爬边从体内分泌出粘液，过一会儿，它爬过的地方就会出现一道银白色的痕迹，看上去十分显眼。我们可以顺着这条银白色的痕迹找到蜗牛。
小蜗牛十分胆小，就像一位害羞的小姑娘。它一遇到危险，就赶快把头缩到壳里，这可是它的防身术。
别看小蜗牛那么小，但它还会飞檐走壁呢。它可以到墙上爬，还可以到天花板上睡大觉。
小蜗牛真是一种十分神奇的小动物。不过就是它爬的太慢了。但我还是觉得它很可爱。

我和我的妹妹都很喜欢小蜗牛了，因为它不但可爱，而且坚强，还有它那一往无前、坚持不懈的精神。
以前，我总以为蜗牛是一个小"懦夫"，每次碰见蜗牛，我不是把它踩死，就是把它带走玩死，甚至有一次还用打火机烧它，可是经过了一件难忘的事改变了我的看法。
那是一天早晨，外面下着蒙蒙的细雨，我打着雨伞在雨中玩耍，突然发现地上有一只小蜗牛在慢慢往前爬行，我心中一动，就想给它设置一点障碍，我先是在它前面用伞尖用力划了一道深深的壕沟，然后在壕沟边上摆上一块石头挡住它的去路，我想这下小蜗牛肯定退缩了，可是没想到小蜗牛不但爬过了壕沟而且还翻过了大石头，虽然它足足用了30分钟，我还是为它的这个举动惊呆了！这还是我心目中那只懦弱的小蜗牛吗？
我把发生的这件事告诉了爸爸，爸爸笑着给我讲了个故事：有一天，一只小蜗牛在角落里哭鼻子，妈妈就问它："你怎么了，小宝贝？"小蜗牛回答说："妈妈，我们为什么整天背着这个又硬又重的壳呢？"妈妈说："傻孩子，因为我们的身体里没有骨头，所以这壳是来保护我们的。"小蜗牛又问："可是毛毛虫和蚯蚓也没有骨头，它们怎么不用背着这个又硬又重的壳呢？"妈妈说："因为毛毛虫长大后能变成五颜六色的蝴蝶在天空中飞行，天空会保护它的；蚯蚓是因为它可以钻进土里，大地会保护它的。"小蜗牛听了哭得更伤心了，说："天空和大地都不保护我们，那么谁来保护我们呢？"妈妈为它擦干了泪水并安慰它："我们有壳呀，这壳又硬又重，可以保护我们呀，我们不靠天不靠地，就是靠自己！"小蜗牛听了，它开心的笑了，笑得很开心。从那以后，小蜗牛变得很坚强，做事情勇往直前，从不退缩，而且坚持不懈！
