那是一个周日，天气格外晴朗。爸爸妈妈本来说好上午带我去公园的，可是临时有事出去了，更可恶的是还把我留在家里看家。我很生气，虽然他们安慰我说下午去公园，可我心里觉得他们不守信用。一个人在家很无聊，我拿了只皮球玩，玩着玩着看见阳台上捉鱼的小网兜，心想：不如发明个新玩法吧！于是我把皮球放在网兜里，手里牢牢的拽着竹竿，用力往上一挑，皮球就跳出了网兜，掉在地上弹回来时再用网兜接住。我为新发明了游戏而感到高兴，越玩越起劲，不知不觉皮球越抛越高，活动的`范围也越来越大。忽然我听到“哐当”一声，定睛一看“啊呀！”我把妈妈最喜欢的一盆肉肉植物“吉娃娃”打翻了。我吓坏了，上次爸爸不小心打翻过一次，就被妈妈说了一顿，还再三叮嘱我们：“这盆吉娃娃我刚换过盆，放在阳台上，你们都小心一点，别再碰翻了哦！”妈妈的叮嘱还在耳旁回旋，我走近一看，好家伙，连盆都摔碎了，这下完蛋了。我毛手毛脚地把“吉娃娃”捡起来，放在边上，把土扫掉，“事故”现场被我整理干净了，可我该怎么跟妈妈交代呢？我的心里像爬了几百只蚂蚁，非常焦虑。突然，计从心来。
这时妈妈和爸爸回来了，我殷勤的跑过去帮妈妈拎拖鞋，“妈妈，今天风好大哦，是吗？”妈妈莫名其妙地看着我，说“还行吧，怎么啦？下午不想出去了？”我连忙心虚地说：“不是，刚刚我开窗了，没想到一阵大风吹进来，把你的吉娃娃打翻了。”我的声音小的只有我自己听的见。妈妈看了我一眼，来到阳台上说，“今天有风吗？”爸爸也跟了过去说：“龚与悦，你把阳台都扫干净啦，真棒啊，家看的不错。”我感觉我的脸好烫，我说了谎，爸爸妈妈肯定知道了，他们却没有批评我，可是妈妈肯定对我很失望吧。这时妈妈走到我身旁，蹲下来抱着我说：“怎么啦？是不是爸爸妈妈没有遵守诺言，上午没带你去公园，还让你看家，你不高兴啦？”我用力摇摇头，难为情的说：“妈妈，对不起，我没看好家，吉娃娃是我打翻的，不是被风吹翻的，我说谎了，请你原谅我！”说完，我感到无比的轻松。妈妈笑着说：“我老早就知道是你打翻的，因为今天的风并不大。”妈妈接着又说：“肉肉的生命力是很强的，再买个盆把它插进土里就可以了。今天，你勇于承认错误，让我看到了你身上诚信的品德，这让我非常欣慰呢。所以我也要讲诚信，下午我们一起去公园玩吧！”
通过这件事，让我感受到，诚实与守信像一盏明灯，把我们每个人的心灵照亮，指引着我们前行的方向。
