读了这篇文章，我有很多的感悟。如果我是小伙子的话，遇到这样的困难就会打退堂鼓，而不能像他那样坚持下去。我想我应该学习他坚持不懈的精神，学习他永不放弃的精神。文章中的老人是一位和蔼可亲，平易近人的老者，她用诗一般的语言鼓励着小伙子，她的温柔与鼓励让小伙子一次又一次地坚持了下来。我的妈妈也像这位老人一样经常鼓励我学习，可我总是知难而退。虽然妈妈让我看过许多关于坚持的书，但我依然是外甥打灯笼——照旧（舅）。读了这篇文章后，我决定向小伙子学习，我相信终有一天我也可以有所作为。
