最好是在阴雨天，在那种浓云密布风雨欲来之时，择一部《杜工部诗集》于阳台之上，摇头晃脑，大声朗诵，俄尔风起云涌，大雨瓢泼，莫怕，有杜甫之“安得广厦千万间”为你遮雨。此时，谁不会为之而异常激动?生命瞬间洄游到了那个将倾的唐朝。
若是阳春三月，风和日丽，也不赖，一本《柳河东诗集》马上把你带到了那个“最是一年春好处，绝胜烟柳满皇都”的京城圣地。看着“碧玉妆成一树高，万条垂下绿丝条，”的风情万种，看着“万紫千红总是春”的繁华似锦，心已醉了。难道不够美吗?
你也许会说，这些的确美，但难道就只有这些风花雪月春华秋实吗?怎么会?读书之乐不止在于人生中美丽的风光，更在于人间悲喜剧。

尔后，再来一本名古垂今的《三国演义》，浮现有眼前的，便是另一番景象。狼烟四起，群雄并立。关云长杯酒之间斩了华雄;曹孟德举手之间灭了袁绍;周公瑾谈笑之间档橹灰飞烟灭;诸葛亮悲愤而成《出师表》……这一幕一幕的群臣相斗诸侯相争的表演，让人心弦紧绷。生命一下子和那个动荡的年代融合了。
著有“山东第一”的鲁迅，尖锐的笔尖，每每发出震耳欲聋的响声。每每读到中国近代那段屈辱的历史时，我只能大呼两个人的名字，一个是鲁迅，另一个还是鲁迅。
有人曾说：你不能增加生命的长度，但你可以改变生命的宽度，你不能改变生命的宽度，但你却可以改变生命的深度，不知不觉中，读书使我的生命变宽变深。他让我知道何为酸甜苦辣，却何为人处事。读书?怎不是一种乐趣?
