在一个烈日当空、赤日炎炎的夏天，天上万里无云，云彩好像都被太阳烧化了，消失得无影无踪。太阳把地面烤得滚烫滚烫的。柳树姑娘热得低下了头，知了也在树上叫着热。
一个身穿红衣蓝裤，戴着一顶草帽，大概六七岁的小孩子骑在一头老黄牛的背上，高声地唱着歌。黄牛缓缓的走在在林间小道上，嘹亮的歌声在树林中回荡着，振动了树林中的每一处角落。他唱着唱着，突然就不唱了，他让老黄牛停止了行走。大概是想捉住那只正在柳树上叫着的知了吧，只见他蹑手蹑脚地走向了知了，猛扑一下，知了似乎发现了正在向它靠近的危险，从这棵树飞到了另一棵树了，让牧童扑了个空，他再扑了一次，手还没碰到知了，知了就又飞到另一棵树上了。牧童十分不甘心，心想：今天我非要捉住这只知了不可。他飞快地跑回家中，找了一个网袋，又拿了一根竹竿，做了一个套知了的网。他来到了停知了的那棵树前，屏住了呼吸、轻手轻脚地靠近了知了，猛地用网一套，就套住了那只知了，知了在网中垂死挣扎着，也不济于事。
太阳临近了头顶，牧童骑在老黄牛的背上，嘴里哼着小曲，高高兴兴地回了家。

However, too many tourists also bring some problems to the local life. The most serious problem is the pollution caused by the uncivilized tourists. It’s reported that there were thousands of tons of rubbish left after the flag-raising ceremony on Oct. 1st. The uncivilized tourists left their rubbish wherever they go, polluting the local environment. Another problem is the traffic jam caused by so many tourists.
Tourist can promote the economic development of the local areas, but the pollution caused by those uncivilized tourists has brought severe problems. The local tourist authority should set up relative laws to protect the environment of the local areas, and every tourist obey the laws and help to make the places of tourist more beautiful!

七月流火，夏日炎炎。山下，一条弯延的小溪在村庄的边上静静地流淌着。偶尔水中有几块小石头翻动，发出悦耳动听的“叮咚、叮咚”的声响。引得几只小燕子在水面上来回穿梭。过了村庄，小溪便隐没于一片疏密有致的树林中。阳光从树叶的空隙中透过，洒在水面上，泛着片片粼粼波光。天热，树林中的小鸟们早早地就收起了歌喉，纷纷躲进了林子的深处。只有几只知了（蝉）在那里不知疲倦地“知了、知了”地呜唱。
“烈日似火，王孙公子…把扇摇…牧童树下…拾柴忙……”一阵响亮的歌声在树林中响起，原来，是一个小牧童半骑半躺在一头黄牛背上，在那里引吭高歌。只见那牧童光着膀子，浑身是水，而那条裤衩却是***，显然他刚才还光着屁股蛋在水中玩耍，牛角上，一条柳枝上串着的几尾小鱼就是明证。玩累了，躺在牛背上休息一会儿，唱唱歌。哎，怪不得小牧童会那样的兴致勃勃呢！其实，小牧童也是半工半读；半天读书写字，半天放牛割草。在村里也算得上是读书人呢！这不，这大半天下来，小牧童歌声不断，唱的还都是当时流行的歌曲呢！
“山明水秀，荷花盛开…”歌声依然悦耳。突然，黄牛“哞”的一声，牧童的注意力被黄牛的一阵轻微***动吸引过去〔了，在他面前的一棵小树上，一只知了在爬动。歌声嘎然而止，牧童轻轻地翻身而下，慢慢走到树边，他边走边用手指竖在嘴前，警告黄牛不要发出声响。只见牧童凝神观注，双手合十，突然出手。说时迟那时快，只听那黄牛又“哞“地一声叫唤，知了在牧童的手掌合拢之前，“知”地一声，飞走了。牧童大怒，回头大骂黄牛不该坏了他的好事！那黄牛也是被牧童宠惯了，摇了摇毛绒绒的双耳，甩了甩尾巴，竞把头一扭，不理那牧童……

the radius of the earth is about 6,370 kilometres. it takes the earth 24 hours to rotate once. objects on the earths equator move with the earth at a speed of 460 metres per second, and the air close to the earths surface turns at the same speed. if the earth stopped rotating suddenly, the air would keep flowing eastward at a speed of 460 metres per second. the wind would be fourteen times as powerful as a hurricane. at the same time sea water would rush eastward at a speed of several hundred metres per second, which might do damages much greater than a seaquake would do. obviously, men could hardly stand such a catastrophe.
even if such a catastrophe would not happen, there would be a great temperature difference on the two hemispheres of the earth, and the four seasons of the year would no longer occur because a day and a night would be as long as a whole year instead of 24 hours. all this would greatly affect the life of human beings, imals and plants and that would cause worse results than anything imaginable.

我住在禹家一千公里的旅店，夜深了，我翻来覆去睡不着，我从门外一看，发现梧桐树的叶子在风中沙沙作响，我心想：这些梧桐的叶子散下时，不就像当年离家漂泊在外吗?
忽然，我看见了微弱的小火光，我心里又想：这肯定是那边有几个调皮的孩子在捉蛐蛐儿。于是，我顺着小火光的亮处摸索着终于，我找到了一条路。
我便向着那条路慢慢地走，突然，我停下了脚步，我生怕惊动了孩子。我慢慢地走近一看，有两个孩子在那儿忽闪忽闪的。
我渐渐地看清楚了，一个孩子手拿着灯笼，另一个孩子捉蛐蛐儿。那些被捉住的蛐蛐发出了凄美的叫声，似乎在向我求救。眼前的情景让我想起儿时捉蛐蛐的时候。我静静地走回了旅店，而那些孩子却不知疲倦，在那儿兴高采烈地捉蛐蛐。
这真是一个美好的夜晚啊!
