当我忐忑不安地走进游泳馆，认识了我的同学们，顿时，高兴、惊讶、害怕等多种心情交织在一起——高兴的是，班里有三个同龄的同学，我们很谈得来;惊讶的是，学游泳的孩子太多了，竞争激烈;害怕的是，自己这么胖的身材，穿上泳裤会不会被笑话。上了几节训练课之后，我发现自己的担心是多余的，因为根本没人注意我的身材，大家上课都很认真，我便安心学起了游泳动作。
就这样过了七八天，我们学了一些基本动作，老师要我们进行一场比赛。我们紧张地站在水池边，只待一声令下便跳进水里冲出去。“滴!”一声口哨令下，我们便一个个冲了出去。我用力划着双臂，吃力地蹬着双腿，水似乎都没有阻力，我如鱼得水一般，很快游完了一半。这么好的状态不可能维持太久，我渐渐慢了下来，终于游不动了。只怪我平时缺少锻炼，加上体形大，所以耐力不够。我沮丧地从水里站起来，环顾四周——呀!大家都没游完全程，我还算是第二名呢!我开心得要命，嘴里激动地喊着：“我会游泳了，我真的会了!”
经过了短短十二天的练习，我学会了简单的游泳，这是我之前不能想象的，是一次极大的超越。当然，整个游泳训练的过程，我付出了很多努力：无论怎样都不落课，每次上课认真听，回家还坚持练习动作……我终于亲身体验到，一分耕耘，一分收获。
所以，我们要相信，任何事情，只要自己孜孜不倦地努力，并且坚持到底，就会离成功越来越近，越来越近!

encouraged by his bravery , i continued advancing. soon all of my body was covered by water. before i got ready for a dive, a wave came over. it struck my face heavily and the water went into my eyes, nose and mouth. how bitter and salty it tasted! but i was not discouraged at all. i wiped off the water on my face, took a deep breath, and began swimming happily.
the waves became larger and larger, as if the sea was angry with me. when i saw a wave in the distance, i would hold my breath, and just before it came to where i was, i jumped up and easily kept myself from it. how exciting! i was just like lying on the clouds!
all that afternoon, i swam and jumped and had a very good time. when finally i had to leave, i took a last look at the sea. the waves were still beating the shore, but i was no longer frightened. “i must thank that little boy,”i said to myself.“it was he who gave me the courage.”

暑假的一天，我跟爸爸学游泳。来到游泳池，看到清澈的池水和尽情游泳的人们，我恨不得一下子跳进水里，但那么深的水对我来说可是“灭顶之灾”。我站在岸上，两腿发抖不敢跳。爸爸在水中鼓励我说：“勇敢些，跳下来!”我深吸一口气纵身一跳，顿时沉入水底，又一下子被拉了上来，是爸爸。他把我拉到岸边教我练习憋气，我犹豫再三，不情愿的按照爸爸的方法一下潜到水中，憋一会儿气，然后像螃蟹一样吐泡泡，一秒，两秒……当气全部吐完时，我又“哗”地浮出水面，再吸足了气潜下去，周而复始练得不亦乐乎。可能是练得太高兴了，一不小心，一大口水灌进了我的嘴里，呛得我一阵恶心。我赶紧冲到岸上，使劲地吐水，休息了足足五分钟，才缓过劲来。我想打退堂鼓了。
爸爸过来拍拍我说：“来，按照爸爸说的方法做，没有什么事一下子就能做好的'。”说完爸爸又把我拖下了水，托着我，让我练习。他让我手向前伸然后再慢慢滑回来，脚抬起再放下。我慢慢的练习，居然能浮在水面上了!我高兴极了，立刻让爸爸撒手，又掉进了水里，咕嘟咕嘟地灌了好几口水。我哀求的说：“爸爸我不练了!”“你必须再尝试一下!”爸爸严厉地说。我被逼无奈，再一次潜到水下，手脚向后划水，但身体却不听使唤一直在原地打转，结果却还是一样，我有些泄气了，但爸爸说：“你马上就要成功了，再坚持一下。”听了爸爸的鼓励，我又重新开始，终于，功夫不负有心人，我高兴地在水下游着，5米，10米……我游得越来越远了。我浮出水面得意的像爸爸望了望，爸爸也露出会心的笑容。
这一次的游泳，让我到了做什么事只要有坚持到底就一定会成功。
