星期一放假，爸爸妈妈带我回老家姑姥姥家里玩儿，我的表妹蒙蒙也去了，我们玩儿得可高兴了!
去了姑姥姥家，赖耷儿赶紧跑出来迎接我们，它先冲着我们摇摇尾巴，便跑开玩儿去了!赖耷儿是姑姥姥家的一条狗，它可聪明了，姑姥姥让它蹲下来它就蹲下来，让它卧着它就卧着，不让它咬人它就不咬人。
我们去的时候，还有许多人也去了：老太爷、老太太……还有一个五岁的小男孩，这个小男孩今年才五岁，竟然是我的舅舅，也是蒙蒙的叔叔，真是不可思议啊!我和蒙蒙看他还小，没什么能耐就想逗逗他。我们把他挡在门外，说：“进来啊，进来啊，有种你就进来啊!不敢吧?!”他倒好，也不生气，在门外和我们打“持久战”!我们也不上他的当，先下手为强，我们拿了一个盒子的盖子当“挡箭牌”，和他“打起架来”!最后我们不耐烦了，我便考他：“一加一等于几?”他掰掰手指头：“等于二!”“那八加九等于几?”我暗暗高兴：才五岁的小屁孩，能知道吗?结果他又掰掰手指头，说：“等于十七!”我想：不错嘛，一个五岁的小屁孩竟然能算出来!不行，我得再考考他!我想了一会儿说：“一百乘以两百等于多少?What do you do on the Saturdays是什么意思?”小舅舅有点不知所措，呆呆地望着我们，我得意地说，“不会了吧?你还是我的舅舅呢!”
后来我和蒙蒙又想出了一个坏点子——把瓶子装满水，等姑姥姥家里养的鸡呀鸭呀来喝水吃饭的时候把水一泼，让它们便成落汤鸡、落汤鸭!说干就干，我们把瓶子装满水，为了不让鸡鸭们发现我们的意图，就在院子里洒点水。真是功夫不负有心人啊，我们等得花儿都快谢的时候终于把鸡鸭给盼来了!鸡鸭一进院子，我就以迅雷不及掩耳之势打开瓶盖子，给了一只老母鸡一身水!
时间之神也不给我们多留一点儿时间玩耍，一会儿一天就过去了，到了第二天的中午，我该走了。人们说得真没错——乡下生活真有趣啊。

One day, He is pursued by a bogie and hid in a shrine. He breaks a powerful bogie‘s seal whose name is Ban. Since then, this powerful bogie turns itself into a cat in daily life to stay with Xiamu to protect him with the condition that Xiamu should give the contract to it after he die. But before that Xiamu decides to try his best to give the name in the contracts to the bogies and let them get free. Thus, a loving, touching, scary story is opened up.
《夏目友人帐》主要讲述了男主人公夏目贵志拥有可以看到妖怪的特殊能力。因为父母双亡他的性格较为孤僻，并且由于他具有特殊的能力，他常辗转在于亲戚之间并被同龄人欺负。虽然他经历了许多不幸，但他依旧有好善良没有埋怨任何人。最终他被有好善良的藤原夫妇收养并进入高中。有一天，他被妖怪追赶躲进神社，不小心打破了一只强大妖怪斑的封印。并牵涉到了他祖母夏目玲子的\'遗物—一本同妖怪签订的契约书。之后，这只强大的妖怪平时便变成猫的样子待在夏目身边保护他，但是他的条件是夏目死后要把这本契约书给它。但在此之前夏目决定尽其所能把契约书上的名字还给妖怪们让它们得到自由。由此，一个个温馨、感人、惊险的故事就此展开。
