暑假里，我与姑父姑姑一起前往大明山，感受了一次刺激有趣的大明山之旅。
我们先到了第一个景点——大明湖。只见大明湖像一面硕大的银镜，映照着蓝天、白云，此时，正好下起了淅淅沥沥的小雨，起了朦朦胧胧的雾，为大明湖披上了一层面纱，更增添了几分神秘感。小雨渐渐变大，豆大般的雨滴落进大明湖，溅起朵朵洁白晶莹的水花，泛起道道涟漪。仔细一瞧，湖中还有许许多多活泼可爱的小鱼呢。它们有的红、有的白、还有的全身漆黑，它们在湖中嬉戏玩耍，甚至还一跃而起，在空中划过了一道漂亮的弧线，“扑通”一声落进水中，好似“鲤鱼跳龙门”。雨大了，雾浓了，鱼也更多了，它们全都探出水面，好奇地打量着我们。我趁机买了一包鱼食，向水中撒去，小鱼们争先恐后地争抢着鱼食，吃得津津有味。我逐渐由一小粒改为一大把，几乎所有的小鱼都向我们聚来，井井有条地在水中转圈圈，哇，好一幅壮观的场面!我往各个方向投鱼食，它们就不停地变换着队形，有趣极了。
浓雾笼罩着我们，现在三米外就已经完全看不见了。我们继续向前前进，途径龙门栈道，来到了日月洞。刚踏进洞，我便感到一股凉气袭来，爽极了。洞内很矮，大概只有1。7米左右，岩石上不停地有水滴下来，奏起了一首欢快的曲子，还有许多千奇百怪的钟乳石。越往里走越宽敞，但也更加得冷，因为我穿的是短袖，颇有感触，连打了好几个喷嚏。突然，我发现了几道大门，不禁心生疑惑：难道里面关的是犯人?潺潺的流水从我脚旁流过，一丝光透过了黑漆漆的洞，终于穿过了山洞。
我们有往南北方向行进，来到了令我印象最深刻的地方——龙门飞渡。这是一座五十米多的吊桥，距离地面几百米，摇摇晃晃，没有任何支撑点，不禁令人心惊胆战。幸好那天雾大，脚底下只能望见一团云雾，一开始我还小心翼翼，不敢怎么走，渐渐地我胆子大了起来，恐惧感消失得无影无踪，在桥上又蹦又跳，还大喊着：“好刺激啊!”此时的我仿佛来到了天界，能够腾云驾雾。正当我欣喜若狂、飘飘然的时候，一阵狂风刮过，白雾立刻被吹散了。我定睛一望，脚底下是一条瀑布，“哗哗”地倾泻而下，那气势犹如万马奔腾，泰山压顶，气势磅礴，还有密布的乱石，看到此情景，我心都凉了半截，都快从嗓子眼里跳出来了，我急忙向前跑去，终于跑到了另一头，现在想想都后怕呢。
大明山的一番美景使我流连忘返，现在在梦里都能笑醒呢。

I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays this year. I liked green plants, clear rivers and lovely amimals there.I breathed the fresh air on the mountain and sometimes I went swimming in the river. I kept a diary every day.
I liked not only the scene of the countryside, but also the people there. I helped them to do farm work. I also helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. The children were interested in English. They were good at reading and writing, but did not do well in listening and speaking. I helped them improve their listening and speaking. 暑假期间，学校开展了为期五天的军训活动。我穿着崭新的校服走进学校的大门。在“高一新生军训动员大会”上，我知道了这次军训的主要目的是：让我们知道纪律的重要性、锻炼我们的身体、锻炼我们的意志力。
在军训期间，我们深刻的体会到做军人的艰辛，体会到什么是军人的风范，什么是钢铁般坚强的意志。我们学习了稍息、立正、踏步等动作，其中练习齐步走，比较困难，四、五十个人走整齐，是多么不容易!教官训练我们时，先让我们练习手臂的姿势，右臂在前，左臂在后。我们这样一动不动地站了一会，心想：教官该让我们休息了吧?可教官却没有这样做，他一个劲儿的对我们说：“把后臂抬高，站直了，在军姿的基础上做，不要低头，眼睛别乱看!”然后又开始检查各个横排面的人手臂在没在一个高度，有没有打弯。还没检查到我时，我的胳膊就已经又酸又痛了，我在心里默念：坚持，再坚持一下，坚持住了，就战胜了自我!在军训期间，班里有些同学都出现了头晕的症状。我想：现在青少年的体质越来越弱了，军人们每天在寒风烈日下重复着同一个动作，把每个动作都练到位，是要付出多少汗水啊!每每想到这，我就立马站得笔直，动作更标准了。
教官还教了我们唱军歌，《团结就是力量》，“团结就是力量，团结就是力量，这力量是铁，这力量是钢······”那一句句响亮的“团结就是力量”深深鼓舞着我。是啊!只有团结才能使力量变得更强大，团结的力量可以排山倒海。小小的蚂蚁团结起来可以抬动比身体重千倍的食物。如果人们可以团结一致，那么还有什么事情是办不到的呢?
军训虽然辛苦，但也让我们尝到了种种滋味。在那迎风不动的军姿训练中，我们磨练了意志，品尝到了难咽的苦涩;在那一遍又一遍的重复练习中，我们得到了进步，品尝到了成功的喜悦······军训也是一种人生的体验，战胜自我、锻炼意志的良机。心里虽有说不出的酸甜苦辣，在烈日酷暑下的曝晒，皮肤变成黑黝黝的，但这何尝不是一种快乐，一种更好地朝人生目标前进的勇气?更增添了一份完善自我的信心。有句话说得好“吃得苦中苦，方为人上人”军训使我体会到这句话的真谛!
终于，功夫不负有心人，在军训会操比赛上，我们班凭借整齐一致的步伐、标准到位的动作，获得了第一名，同学们激动地欢呼起来!使为期五天的军训画上了一个x的句号。

summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.
