5年级英语寒假作文【一】
放假初始便带孩子去书店买书。
到了书店以后，买齐了没有的书后，又挑了几本喜欢的书。付钱时发现有几本书是漫画，就有点不想给他买，但老板说这书不错，可以看看，又见他很喜欢的样子，就买了下来。回家后，他就迫不及待的回房间看起书来。
到了吃晚饭的时候，他突然说：“我出个问题考考你们，猜一下故宫一共有多少间房子？”我们三个猜了好几个也没猜对，最后，他得意洋洋地说：“是8704间！”我很惊异他是怎么知道的，问他，他说就是从新买的书——《大中华寻宝记系列之北京寻宝记》上看到的。我对这本漫画起了好奇心，想知道是一本什么样的漫画，居然可以学到这么多知识！？
下午，我抽空看完了这本书，发现还不错。这本书以精彩逗趣的漫画为表现形式，以紧张刺激的寻宝故事为线索，将全国各地历史风貌、历史遗迹、文化艺术、物产资源等知识巧妙的融入进故事情节中，带领孩子们认识祖国的如画江山，了解祖国的久远历史。也如同做一次纸上旅游，可以开拓孩子的视野，丰富孩子的知识。
我觉得书中的中国风元素浓郁，形式图文并茂，将大量枯燥乏味的文字知识与有趣的是漫画相结合，增加了孩子的阅读兴趣，也在不知不觉间增长了知识。这些知识虽然现在作用不大，但到了以后就会对学习有很大的帮助，到以后在初高中的历史、地理等学科的学习都有帮助。现在多了解一些，以后背起来就轻松一些。
真心觉得这本书不错，既让孩子有兴趣，又可以长知识，所以如果孩子愿意的话，想让他读完这套书。

Dear English teacher,
I went on a trip to Hainan today with my family .We went there by plane. After we got off the plane, we went to the beach to see the beautiful sand and swim there. There were other people there too. Some people were surfing and some people were diving in the deeper part of the sea. Afterwards we had lunch at a seafood restaurant near the beach. We ate seafood like shrimps and craps, and drank some abalone soup.We all didn't want to go home because the scenery was so beautiful, and there were so many other exciting things to try,but sadly it was time for us to go. It was definitely an exciting trip.If I have a chance to go there again, i will be more than happy to visit the place again.

After finishing all my homework, I'm going to enjoy myself in the sea of knowledge. Reading must be a good idea. I'm going to keep fit at the same time. I'll get up eary in the morning everyday and play sports. I really love sports. Besides that, Eating a balanced diet is also good for my health. I'm going to help my mom and dad with the housework as well in the vacation.I'll learn to cook. As for travelling, I'm planning to go to Hainan. But whether going there or not will be decided on the weather.During the vacation,I'm going to learn more about history,as I'm really poor on it.

Secondly，I insist on reading English books and newspapers every day.I also keep on oral pratice.
In my spare time,I will take an active part in activitise.I can gain the first hand imformations through the activitise which can help me to extend my knowlege.
