“排骨!过来!”听，这是我的第一个外号“排骨”。事出有因，不说想必大家也知道我太瘦了。冬天还好，被肥胖的羽绒大衣裹住，看不出来，夏天就惨啦!一到穿短袖短裤的季节，校园顿时此起彼伏地响起“排骨”的声音。有的老师还说我是从非洲难民营逃难来的呢，不过看我这肤色，怎么可能是非洲佬?!
“牙牙，抱作业!”哎呀，这个外号也太不雅了，怎么听怎么像《哈利波特》里那个海格的狗。不过也怪我，天生没有一副好牙啊。看看我的脸，其他地方都很清纯俏皮，就是那张小嘴中两颗大板牙，实在很配得上那个不雅的称号。我却对它毫不在意。
“温两千!这道题怎么做啊?”温两千是我的第三个绰号。它起源于被人起这个绰号，是因为我的成绩很好，三科成绩名列前茅，是老师们课后表扬的对象。另外，我的美术天分也是不错的，美术老师格外喜欢我创作的科学幻想绘画和手工作品。也怪我人缘太好，时常有人向我请教题目，我就一一分析给他们听，直到他懂了为止。大家都说我的脑子像电脑，就“发明”了这个可爱的外号。
“辩手!”这也是一个好绰号。这要感谢我的嘴，在那场重要的辩论会上当着外校老师的面，据理力争、抓住有利事实说话，夺得了最佳辩手的称号，为我们学校争得了荣誉。在平时，我也伶牙俐齿，利用巧嘴时不时耍耍赖，也是我的一大特点啦。

什么叫做性格?心理学认为：性格是一个人的“典型性的行为方式”，也就是说，一个较成熟的人在各种行为中，总贯穿着某一种典型的方式，这是经常的，而不是偶然的。这就是性格。
例如：甲君不论在众人聚会的场合，或是在工作中，以至一个人在房子里，都是生气勃勃、喜欢活动的。这样，我们说他的性格是活泼的。如果某一日，他有点心事，因而变得沉默寡言，但这只是很偶然的情形，我们就不能说他的性格是沉默寡言。
性格与气质有些关系。但是气质与生理上的关系比较密切(心理学上把气质分为胆汁质、多血质、粘液质与抑郁质4种基本类型。
影响性格的第一要素是“环境”。
例如：同样是属多血质(活泼型的人，如果他生长在一个富有的家庭，而又没有很好的教养，只是从小被娇纵惯了，那么，他就会产生成为“轻浮”、“散漫”一类的性格;如果他的家庭环境很困难，迫使他从小就得帮助家庭做事，应付各种各样的人物，于是他就会形成“机智”、“灵敏”等等性格。
影响性格的第二个要素是“教育”。
所谓教育，不一定是学校教育。这里是泛指一切的教育与影响。
在同样的境遇中，也有人会养成完全不同的性格，这就与此有关。
例如：一个人不幸处在十分艰苦的境遇中。如果他受到的教育是劝他忍受、安分，久而久之，他会养成安分守己的性格，遇到什么不幸，他也是安分守己;如果他受到的教育是鼓舞他去战胜困难，久而久之，他会形成乐观的、坚强的性格。
从这里看来，性格显然不是什么天生的、神秘的东西。
它是人们习惯于那么做、习惯于那么想的结果。
这样，我们就可以得到两个结论了：
第一，性格的形成，是与每个人的主观努力有关的。因此，你不能以性格如何如何，来为自己辩解。
第二，性格可以通过新的自觉，新的自我教育，以及新的实践，加以改变。只要你坚持努力按照一种新的“行为方式”来行动，直到变成了你的习惯性、典型性的行为，你就已有一个新的性格了。
