我从小就是奶奶在照顾我，对我特别地关心，对她的感激当然是有的，但是也有一些不满，因为奶奶太节约了。
就说今年春节吧。我们全家老少回到老家过年。就在吃团圆饭那天，爸爸点菜点多了，先前没发现。等到上菜了一看。哎呀!这么多菜吃不完啊!算啦，吃一点算一点吧。当大家都在狼吞虎咽地吃饭时，奶奶却吃一口菜就停下筷子，一定要等到有人叫她吃才动筷再吃一口，还不时地叫我多吃点儿，嘴里念叨着：“我不饿，你多吃一点!”散席前二十分种(大概是吧，舅舅突然说：“剩下饭菜就不打包了吧，不好带回家。”“也是。”四姨符合到。奶奶一听，什么，不打包，太浪费了。接着，一番口水战开始了。奶奶说：“不打包太浪费了。”其他人都说没有必要。僵持十分钟后，奶奶无语了，就使出最后绝招：打吃特吃。哇!原来奶奶有这么好的饭量!吃罢，桌上的菜所剩无几了。本以为这事儿就这样过去了，但奶奶第二天就开始闹肚子，一闹就是两天。哎!谁叫她生在一个吃不饱的年代呢?太节约了。
还有一次，我洗澡忘拿衣服了让奶奶帮我找，可是过了好久奶奶都没来。这可是冬天，虽然有浴霸照着，但还是冷得发抖，我想：再忍忍，一会奶奶就来啦。忍耐一下。又等了一会儿，奶奶还没来，我受不了啦。只好叫妈妈去看一下，结果是奶奶没开灯。她视力不好，晚上天也黑了，不开灯衣服要找到猴年马月去呀?后来，我的下场是感冒了。
奶奶还有好多节约的事例，我就不一一地说了。虽然结果大多是不好的，但是节约也是一种美德嘛!值得我学习。不过，我可不会因为节约而使自己生病哟!

奶奶是一位勤俭节约的老人。有时，妈妈为奶奶买回新衣服，她总是不舍得穿，只有外出时才肯穿上，惟恐把新衣服弄脏了。平时，奶奶还教育我要爱惜粮食，吃多少盛多少，不能剩饭剩菜，让我做一个勤俭节约的好孩子。有时，我的作业本没有用完就要换新的，奶奶看了觉得非常可惜，她总会把旧本子上没有用完的纸拆下，重新装订成一个新本子，让我再用。有一次，我的裤子膝盖破了一个洞，妈妈要把它扔掉，再给我买一条新的。奶奶说：“裤子只是破了一个洞就不要了，怪可惜的。”然后又亲切地对我说：“豪豪，缝一缝还能再穿，姥姥给你修一修。”我不高兴地说：“不行，现在生活条件那么好了，我还穿带补丁的裤子，再说别人会笑话我的。”奶奶说：“我会给你缝得很漂亮。”奶奶拿出针线，她选择了一块上面带有一只小白兔的蓝色碎布，然后一针一针地缝在裤子上。奶奶缝完后拿给我看，我不禁惊呆了：这是一幅完整的图画，根本看不出缝补的痕迹。我高兴得爱不释手，奶奶的手可真巧呀!奶奶看到我开心的样子，也高兴地笑了。这时，奶奶脸上的皱纹舒展开了，显得年轻了很多。
我不仅爱我的奶奶，我还非常敬佩我的奶奶，她让我养成了不与他人攀比、勤俭节约的好习惯。

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the light at two o'clock,and most of them are awake by six o'clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At about one o'clock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

奶奶的衣服总是干干净净，非常整洁，她的每件衣服穿了至少两三年，爸爸给钱她也不舍得买，妈妈给她买的新衣服她又舍不得穿。她常说：“新三年，旧三年，缝缝补补又三年。”要是衣服破了，她就一针一线地缝补好。我活泼好动，经常把衣服刮破，奶奶有时给我缝补好，有时给我贴上一个卡通图案。如果衣服太旧了，奶奶把它撕成布条或布块，布条用作拖把，布块作抹布，物尽其用。
奶奶不仅自己节俭，还教育我不要做“败家子”。我扔掉的半截铅笔，她总是捡回来套上钢笔帽接着用，我扔掉的本子，她都捡回来，撕开，合起来，订起来，一个新本子就诞生了。奶奶洗菜的水从来都不直接倒掉，有时用来浇花，有时冲马桶，有时洗抹布。我总是喜欢人走到哪，灯照到哪，奶奶总是跟在我后边，不停地唠叨关灯，关灯，奶奶经常说：“生活再好也要养成节俭的好习惯，节俭是我们的传家之宝，天天浪费，再多的钱也会花光。”
奶奶处处节俭，艰苦朴素，对我产生了深刻的影响，我要以奶奶为榜样，也做一个节俭的人。

However, I have been busy with my preparation

Recently I have been in and out of the library a lot to do some research on the term paper for one of the classes. Most professors gave out the review problems already so that the students can study for the final. I think I‘m doing okay studying for the final.
Besides reviewing materials, I‘m also planning to host the New Year party of my department. You know there are so many talented people in my Communications major, but they picked me to host the party! Great, isn‘t it?

有一次，吃香蕉，正准备把香蕉皮往垃圾筒里面扔，奶奶制住了我，一把拿过香蕉，往泥土扔，奶奶和蔼可亲的说：“这香蕉皮啊，可以当化肥，让植物生长得很快。”
奶奶经常带着我出去看河面的垃圾，教我不乱扔垃圾的好习惯。教我节俭：纸盒可以卖废品，易拉罐可以做再生能源。
