在生命的过程中，遇到不如意的事是很正常的，没有一个人会一生都如意美满，重要的是不要让那不如意成为我们生命中的主导，而应该让它成为我们生命中的动力。以坎坷来增长我们的智慧，长养我们的悲心，如此，我们就能获得生命真正快乐的源泉。
如果你想离苦得乐，获得自在解脱，就应该好好学佛，而不是一味求佛。学习佛的大慈大悲、大觉大悟，要让每个起心动念都是平等心、清净心、慈悲心、菩提心。佛陀通过佛法，告诉你的是改变命运的方法。有佛法就有办法，你要理解并践行佛法，才能解脱。因为除了你自己，谁也改变不了你的业力和命运。
佛说，你生气，是因为自己不够大度;你郁闷，是因为自己不够豁达;你焦虑，是因为自己不够从容;你悲伤，是因为自己不够坚强;你惆怅，是因为自己不够阳光;你嫉妒，是因为自己不够优秀……凡此种种，每一个烦恼的根源都在自己这里。所以，每一次烦恼的出现，都是一个给我们寻找自己缺点的机会。
