但是，我们有没有想过他自身的问题呢？他迷恋上网，是认为上网是一种很刺激的活动，是一个自我消遣的场所。所以，会一度的放任自己，任凭自己陷入那不可自拔的环境中，同时，也非常鲜明的`表现出他的一个致命弱点：没有自控能力。如果他有自控能力他会走到被拘留的那一步吗？答案是否定的。正是因为他这个致命的弱点，使他成为了一个社会的废物，众人看不起的人。
反之，我们再来看一个事例，看看她是怎样上网的。今年12岁的胡天骄，家住在山东。她也是个迷恋上网的孩子。但不同与上文的那个，她喜欢上网看书，听课，研究不同的网页，参加不同的活动，在爸爸妈妈的支持下，她开始创作自己的主页，一个月后，一个“胡天骄个人网”诞生了。半年以后，她的主页便挤身进入了优秀网页中，与盛大、网易等大型网站齐名。同时，她的名字也被人们所知。当记者问她为什么会有今天的成绩时，她说了一句：“我喜欢上网！”
你看，同样是迷恋上网，为什么一个会沦为囚徒，而另一个却美名百传，原因只有两个：你是否有很好的自控能力和你把上网看作什么！胡天骄说她迷恋上网，是因为她看到了网络的多姿多彩，她认为，网络是一个活动的大课堂，无论你在何时何地，你都可以随时随地的了解发生在自己周围和国内外的事。所以她在上网时，可以获取许多的知识来丰富自己的大脑，把网络当做自己的老师。所以，才会有今天的成绩。
同样是上网，一个坏，一个好，真的令人感叹不已。其实，网络就是网络，上网就是上网，它们并不会改变自己的本质。能改变它们本质的只有你自己：你把它们当玩具，只会害了你；你把它们当老师，只会教育你。所以，不要把上网变成坏孩子的罪推到上网和网络身上过，它们是无罪的。要怪，只能怪孩子没有正确的认识上网和网络罢了。曾经有一位网虫说过一句话：网络是一面镜子，你对它好，它笑你笑；你对它坏，它笑你哭。是啊，网络就是这样的。
