读书，让生活更美好。它不仅可以带给我们悠闲自在的感受，还可以给我们的生活增添乐趣。昨晚，我们一家三口一起躺在床上阅读，我看的是一本数学书，书上有一个篇章都是写变魔术的，我现学现用，想把这些魔术变给爸爸妈妈看。我对他们说：“爸爸妈妈，我要变一个魔术给你们看，你们想一个十以内的数，把他乘9，得到的数十位和个位相加，一定是9！”爸爸妈妈凝眉沉思，似乎发现不了这个魔术的奥秘。“噢！我明白了！”爸爸茅塞顿开，立刻说出了这个魔术的原理，“其实这就是9的倍数特点，9的倍数个位和十位上的数相加都是9的倍数，如果是十以内的数乘9，这样算正好都等于9。”我又把其他魔术变给他们看，卧室里回荡着我们的.欢声笑语。
读书，让生活更美好。它还能建立起我们的友谊。三年级时，我们七八个同学一起开展阅读沙龙活动，我们一起读书，一起玩耍。有一次，我们在一间咖啡屋里“漂流”图书。那时娜娅看的是我的书，她看得入了迷，忘记了旁边那瓶奶茶是刚上的，还热气腾腾的。端起来就喝了一大口，奶茶刚碰到她的舌头，就像喷泉一样喷射出来。我先是一愣，然后立刻去关心娜娅。帮她把身上的奶茶擦干后，我的眼睛不由自主地转向了那本书。啊！那本书已经有好几页被奶茶喷湿了，那可是我最心爱的《十二生肖童话》！娜娅知道这是我最喜欢的书，连声向我道歉，还买了另一本我喜欢的书送给我。因为这件事，我和娜娅成了好朋友。

以前，我不怎么喜欢看书，就算是要看书也只看一些漫画书，有很多插图的小人书。直到有一天，一本书改变了我。
那天，我又一次去山东表哥家里玩。表哥家的故事书很早就被我囫囵吞枣地看完了。感觉无聊之际，只能顺手拿起一本《笑猫日记》看了起来。我以前听表哥讲起过《笑猫日记》，总以为它是一本很无聊的书。可我没想到，刚一打开它，就被深深吸引住了。书中的情节让我流连忘返。看完后，我久久地回味故事里的情节不能忘怀。让我惊喜的是，表哥家的书厨中还有很多这样的书。我像极了一匹饥饿的狮子，把所有的书都当成了我的食物，看书的过程中我甚至忘记了吃饭和睡觉的时间。有一天我竟一口气看了五本书。
渐渐地，除故事书，对其他类型的书我都产生了兴趣。不同题材的书丰富了我的知识，拓展了我的视野。《十万个为什么》带我探索大自然的奥秘；《皇帝的新装》让我哈哈大笑之时认识到生活中要做一个诚实的人；《苏菲的世界》让我对哲学产生了浓厚的兴趣。
