孩子是祖国的未来，为了孩子的健康成长和全面发展，自2008年起，我区以社会实践活动基地为载体，以“素质教育”和“劳动实践”为主题，对全区中小学生开展社会实践活动教育。
金秋送爽，9月19日一早，我们回民一小六年级的学生们踏着晨光在老师的带领下到巩义杜甫故里开展了主题为——爱我家乡，走进巩义的社会实践课程。
走进诗圣杜甫出生和少年时期生活的地方，了解杜甫卓越的'成就，诵读诗人的经典诗歌，学习杜甫高尚的人格情操，引导学生们珍惜眼前的幸福生活。学生们离开家长，跟随班集体参与课外实践活动，更有利于学生们开阔眼界，培养独立自主意识。
同学们走近诗人展区，游览了杜甫幼年成长的上院、三友堂、怀乡苑、万汇园，再现诗圣的成长历程和浪迹天下的旅程。’
接着带领他们参观了诗歌展区。这个展区通过立体雕塑与壁画展现杜甫的诗歌，还用投影来解说杜甫的诗歌。
在了解杜甫长安十年的悲惨遭遇之后，孩子们触景生情，不禁在心里默默吟诵诗圣杜甫那首脍炙人口的诗篇：国破山河在，城春草木深。感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心。烽火连三月，家书抵万金。白头搔更短，浑欲不胜簪。虽然内在含义我无法理解，但诗人的爱国情怀深深的打动了孩子们。

2016年9月19日，我们参加了以“爱我家乡 走进巩义 了解杜甫 品读唐诗”为题的游学活动。
下了车，“杜甫故里”四个大字在门上光辉耀眼。首先我们走到了诗圣大道，在大道的中央，有个高高的杜甫像，这个像，是由美术家项金国经过画图，雕刻出来的。在杜甫像两旁的石头上，还刻有许多的书法字。走过杜甫像，远远望去，一条长长的桥横跨在河面上，桥名为“诗圣桥”，桥为拱桥状，所横跨的河是泗河，泗河是伊洛河之一的河流。继续走了一段路，抬头看，那一座山多么像笔架呀，顾名思义“笔架山”。在笔架山的斜前方，我们来到了杜甫诞生的地方，“杜甫诞生窑”，站在门口看，我仿佛看见了杜甫曾经的童年时光。
带领我们的李老师还给我们讲了杜甫的爷爷和爸爸都是诗人，受祖辈的影响，杜甫从小就热爱作诗，7岁时自己就写出了第一首诗«咏凤凰»。9岁时，杜甫的毛笔字已经练习的非常好，刚劲有力。在我们休息的过程中，我们男女生进行诗词比赛和背诗大赛，比赛的过程中我们又紧张又兴奋，最终第一局1:1平，第二局我们女生胜利。李老师还向我们说了杜甫三游，第一次游学是在吴越;第二次是在山东河北，并创作了«望岳»这首诗，第三次游学在梁宋，与大诗人李白相遇。在休息的时候，李老师领着我们回忆了曾经所学的古诗，还教我们背诵了«望岳»和«春夜喜雨»。
下午，我们参加了庄严的参拜仪式，是为了纪念大诗人杜甫。接着，李老师还带我们观看了纪录片，分别是：«不眠忧战伐»«穷年忧黎元»«推己及人»«润物无声»，都是关于当年战争的片段。
就这样，一天的行程很快的结束了，我们带着疲惫和开心，返回了学校。
