我敬佩我的爸爸。他不高，还有点胖，有个啤酒肚。但他为什么值得敬佩呢，听我细细道来吧。
爸爸是建筑公司的经理，对建筑门道相当熟悉，技艺精湛，但是他总是觉得自己不够优秀。每天他要忙着处理公司事务，还常常加班，但一有空闲时间，他就见缝插针，捧起书本如饥似渴地读了起来。
让我记忆深刻的是爸爸报名参加一级建造师资格证的事。那时，我和妈妈嘴上虽然不说，但都认为那报名费肯定是打了水漂了。试想，一个公司文件堆积如山的大忙人，怎么会又精力来参加这个难度极大的考试呢？除非，他是超人吧？我偷偷地想。
但事实并非如此，公司为奖励爸爸这种积极上进的精神，特别批准给他一周的假期以专心备考。假期第一天，我早早得起来了，走出房间，就看到认真复习的`爸爸。我蹑手蹑脚地走过去，想偷偷吓他一跳。可是，只见他一手拿笔划着，一手翻着书页，神情专注，让我不忍打搅。我悄悄地退回房间，要向爸爸学习，也拿出书本复习。吃早饭了，妈妈特地做了爸爸最爱吃皮蛋瘦肉粥。可是，香喷喷的粥就在爸爸鼻子底下，他却毫无反应。在妈妈的催促下，爸爸才腾出一只手拿汤勺喝粥。一整天，爸爸都是像雕塑一样在那看书，仿佛被钉在了书桌前。到了最后几天，爸爸直接通宵复习了，白天就靠咖啡和茶提神。我目睹着爸爸把厚厚的书本给复习完了，我觉得爸爸仿佛化身成了“超人”。
考试那天，爸爸自信满满，镇定自若地出门了。回来时他春风满面。果不其然，几天后，喜讯传来，爸爸通过了！

My father likes reading in his spare time. He told me reading was very interesting. I became interested in reading little by little. I like books, because they help me in many ways.
My father has a bad habit he likes smoking very much. I hate it. See, the house is full of smoke. I know its bad for his health as well as mothers and mine. I advise him to give up smoking. Im sure he will follow my advice some day.
