我家有一只可爱的大蜗牛，它是妈妈买菜时发现的，我把它放在一个装有新鲜青菜的盒子里养着。
蜗牛的背上有个重重壳，那是它的房子。它有一对长长的触角，触角上有两个小鼓包，那是它的眼睛。它的嘴巴小小的，很难发现，书上说：“蜗牛的牙齿有上百、上千颗呢！”它在明亮的地方会不停地爬动。一不留神，它就爬到盒子的边缘，差点从桌子上摔到地下。我飞快地抓起它的房子，把它放在盒子中间的菜叶上。它又在爬动，它爬过的地方留下了白色的粘液。因为蜗牛喜欢生活在阴暗、潮湿的地方，所以我就把菜叶盖在它身上，挡住了所有的光线。过了一会儿，盒子里一点动静也没有。我轻轻地拿起其中的一片菜叶，看到它竟然躲在自己的大房子里睡觉。我也不去打扰它了。

这些蜗牛可真可爱呀！大的有鹌鹑蛋大，小的只有绿豆大。它们都有小小的头，头上有两对触角，长触角上有一对小眼睛，背上有个螺旋形的壳，用手摸起来很硬，这可是它的房子。它们的肚子上有柔软的腹足，可用来爬行，还可附在墙壁或树杆上。
