因为当我们是孩子的时候，我们是完全依靠别人而活着，我们采取一种有条件回应模式而活着。
而当我们长大成人呢，我们仍然可以保存着这种凡事依赖别人，凡事找理由的习惯模式。这就是人们的依赖心理，我们一旦走进生活，走进社会，我们仍然会期望别人会来照顾我们。
我们总是认为别人应该为我们面临的事情负责：认为政府应该为我们的生活成长负责。
在生活中，认为朋友应该关心我们；在工作上，认为主管应该照顾我们；总是想尽办法来逃避责任，不断的找理由、找借口，认为是别人或其他的事情导致如此，丝毫没有我们自己的责任。
其实我们并没有权力来把责任推给他人，自己是否要承担责任，特别是当你成年之后，你就没有权利来选择应当负的责任。假如你希望发挥你的潜能，希望事情变成自己所期望的形式、结果，你必须下定决心负起完全的责任。
英文中“责任”是由“反应”与“能力”所组成的。所以，当我们能够很有效地面对与反应生活中的种种挑战，就是我们快速成长的时机。
在政治的环境中，我们往往要求政府做更多的事，要政府负责照顾我们但我们却没有将自己的控制权交给政府。
其次在刑事司法系统中，几乎所有的.罪犯的相同特点，是他们拒绝对他们所犯的罪负责任。
还有在医学界上所面临的病痛，几乎都是起源于心理上的问题，我们却期待医生要为这些事负责任，将我们治疗好！
所以假如你希望在生活中做一些改变，就要先完全的接受、承担生活中所有自己的责任。
