看过的人，内心无不激动澎湃，跃跃欲试。但没有几个人可以像思特里克兰德那么纯粹和疯魔。说白了他就是每个人理想中的白月光，月亮再崇高皎洁，那也是离我们很远的。
而我们多数人注定是平凡普通的人，有着一份不那么喜欢的工作，每天日子过的雷同。想逃出去，却不知道自己的理想究竟是什么，该如何去做。
思特里克兰德之所以会声名鹊起，成为一代名家，那不过是小说的艺术升华，而且那是在他死以后。他死之前过的生活是正常人无法忍受的。
这个世上能成功的，要么是天才，要么就是疯子。而天才往往就是疯子。
当然我们没必要被思特里克兰德带偏，我觉得对于每个人来说，想实现自己的理想大可不必离家出走，将自己变成苦行僧或者疯子，遗世独立，离群索居。
我们可以在做好本职工作，家庭兼顾的情况下努力去实现自己的梦想。
况且梦想不分高低贵贱。有的人喜欢画画，有的.人喜欢写作，有的人喜欢弹钢琴……那么像个傻子一样去坚持就行了，或许理想不会使你成名，不会使你获得金钱报答，但在做的过程中，你肯定过得了内心的平静，拥有了自己存在的价值感，这便足够了。
带给人的唯一价值，对于我来说就是，为了理想而坚持不懈，义无反顾的那种精神。
我们每个人活在世间如同蝼蚁般渺小，我们渴望被人看到，渴望遵循自己的内心去生活，渴望活出真正的自我。那么别犹豫，找准目标，努力前进就是了。

以我的来说，这本书的故事并不精彩。对于现在的年轻来说，他们大多喜欢看顾漫，天下长安这些青春言情的小说。对这些世界级别的名著是不太能看下去的，而且尤其是毛姆的语言风格比较犀利，冷峻，几乎不带任何感情色彩，他纯粹在讲故事。他像个医生，拿着手术刀只管一步步的解剖，而读者就是他的“病人”，他们是如何的感受和想法他一点也不在乎。
甚至他的小说要表达的是什么主题，他大概从来没有刻意想过。
我们写文章写小说之前，总要构思自己的文章主题是什么，表达的意思是什么。但真正的大家显然不会做这么无聊的事情。他们完全遵照自己的内心，讲好一个故事。
对这本书的主题理解，不过是后人自己总结出来的。
这本书给人的感觉是冷酷和严肃，大多数的人能读下去不过是书自身的热度带来的好奇。
我当时读的时候，差点就要放弃了。因为风格跟自己喜欢的完全不搭。但是我很想知道最后思特里克兰德的结局如何。所以一点点的看到最后。
对于思特里克兰德最后的成名，明显有种艺术升华在里面。但这是很必要的，否则看过的人谁还会去追逐梦想。
但是大多数人心里清楚，哪怕自己拼尽全力，终其一生，自己也不一定有任何成就。
既然如此，我们为何还要有理想，还要去坚持？
因为没有理想的人真的跟咸鱼没有任何区别。
平时的柴米油盐酱醋茶之外，我们也想抬头去仰望月亮。

思特里克兰德这个“疯子”离开家以后的生活如何呢？
住在法国一个肮脏，偏僻的旅馆中。终日穿着一身衣服，饥寒交迫，为了果腹和买画画的材料才会出去做些零活。即便这样依然过的穷困潦倒，不得不借钱维持生活。
在身边人口中他是个孤僻，脾气古怪的男人。除了画画，心里没有任何其他的想法。
看到思特里克兰德为了画画，放弃了自己原本富足的生活，终日和一群无业游民混在一起，饥寒交迫，穷困潦倒。让“我”心生悲悯和崇敬之情。
他在“我”的心里不再是个疯子，不再难以理解。当“我”试着理解他，靠近他的时候，他对“我”也不再排斥。
我们像朋友那样坐在一起聊天，下棋。
为了画画，他向一匹永不疲倦的骏马，向着自己的目标，一直前进。
他不在乎别人怎么想，甚至不在乎能否成功，他的心里只有一个念头:一直画。将自己的思想，感悟以自己的方式展现在画上。
可以想见，在画画时，他已和自己的画融为一体，只有他了解自己的话，只有自己的画可以表达自己。

They may cause louder noise and more traffic accidents. Buses give rise to serious air pollution and traffic jam. In order to stop what buses cause, a large amount of hand must be used to widen the roads. On the contrary, the subway train is of more advantages. Except the difficulty and high cost of building the subway, it is superior to the buses in many aspects.

Mike would like to be a writer. He’d like to share his wonderful stories with others. Tom would like to be a cook. He’d like to cook delicious food for others. I would like to be a policeman. I want to protect the people safe.
