无故被损害的人，当然占着理。但是，我们提出批评，应该采取与人为善的态度，讲究礼貌。有理有又礼，对方容易接受，会收到事半功倍的效果。如果自恃有理，不讲礼貌，盛气凌人，大吵大闹，这就缺了礼。本来十分理，也只剩下五分，甚至完全丧失了理。
俗话说：“良言一句三冬暖，恶语伤人六月寒”。发生了纠纷、矛盾，这是不奇怪的事，如何化解很重要，大家都以平和的心态认真对待，赔了理，认个理，该是多好的事，不伤和气。至少不会引起周围群众的谴责，使矛盾激化到难以收拾的公愤地步。这不但无理，更谈不上礼，是品德严重的缺失。
现实生活中，人和人之间的交往，包括生人间的接触往来，我们都要讲理，没有了理，就没有了秩序，没有了原则，社会不就是乱哄哄的一片吗？有理走遍天下，无理寸步难行，说得就是这个道理。中国有五千年的文明史，号称礼仪之邦，礼尚往来，以诚相交，和睦相处，是我们的一个传统，不但要坚守这一礼节，而且要不断赋予更新的.内容传承发扬下去。
在建设社会主义市场经济的今天，社会总的趋势是向着文明、进步方向大踏步前进的，但由于社会分工、利益分配、价值实现形式的不同，也不同程度地出现了道德滑坡的现象，这些都是与“理”和“礼”不相融合的，也是与时代特征、要求格格不入的。建设一个好的国家、一个好的社会、一个好的家庭，离不开“理”和“礼”，它是我们做人做事的起码常识和日常规范，只许加强，不可轻视。只要我们每个人从自身做起，从小事做起，不断加强自身的修养，社会的文明新风就会扑面而来。
