网络，在这个新的世纪里，已经成为了一种必不可少的通讯工具。例如，在以前，人们传信需要差不多2个月的时间，而在今天，只需人们上一次电脑，发个电子邮件就行了。用一种事实的话说，网络就像一个蜘蛛网，把地球包裹起来，让这个地球变得越来越小，也许，到了那一天，你也许就会发现，自己仿佛就是居住在一个村子里。
但是，说网络是一个吃人的蜘蛛网也不过分，网络也的确是一个吃人的精神与生命的魔鬼蜘蛛网。我曾经看过这样一篇报道：某中学一男生因沉迷于网络而不回家，呆在网吧里7天7夜，最后因时间过长而双目失明，因此跳楼自***。当我看到这个报到时，我的心被震撼了，一个小小的网络就能把人弄得失明，甚至跳楼，多么残酷的现实呀！我更多的是憎恨网络，它为什么要吞噬这么年轻的生命？但是在后来，我明白了，在网络世界里，需要自控力，若一个人失去了自控力，那么他也就不算是个完整的人。我也喜欢玩电脑，但我知道，电脑对人有影响，所以我一直遵守着“适度游戏益脑，过度游戏伤身。”玩游戏并不是一件坏事，只要你会玩，游戏的门总是会向你敞开的，因为不会游戏的人不会学习。只要你玩得好，游戏就会变成你成功的.基石！
对于玩游戏，我还有另种看法，游戏的动力来自于对手的强大，只要自己没了对手，玩游戏也就失去了意义，就会有种孤独求败的感觉。所以，我觉得，应该删除游戏中的等级限制，这样游戏想让我们玩都不玩。
但是，网络也有他的好处，为人们提供了极大的方便，我们查个资料，上一下网就好了，不用再东翻翻西翻翻字典.词典或去问人了。网络像一条街道，只要我们告诉他我们想去的地方，便能一下就到目的地。网络已经走到我们的生活当中，它已经走进了广大人们的生活。在许多年前，谁能有一部手机谁就是财主，而在今天，就连拥有一台电脑也不稀奇，因为它广泛。我相信，中国在未来，将变成世界第二电脑大国。
当中国成为电脑大国时，说明我们的科技已经发展到很高的水平，到那时，谁再敢欺负我们中国呢？由此看来，网络也变成了促进祖国发展的重要途径之一。
网络由这些事例看来，有利有弊。就像我们在用食指指责别人的时候，另外四个指头也正指着自己。从中，我明白了，做事有好坏，要考虑双面性。比如，在以前，人们做鞭炮在喜庆节日中互相庆祝，而在后来被有些人们认为是搞战争的好武器，所以被运用到了战争当中，好事与坏事往往就是一念之差，只要你有自制力，多难的事也会做成。若你只有贪欲，那你什么也能干出来，网络是把双刃剑，看你会用不会用，若会砍贪欲，则你就是一代剑神，就算你有四两重，也能挑过七千斤；但若你只会捅自制力，纵容你有十万斤，四两也会压得你喘不过气来。四两虽轻，但意义无穷，这四两更是你内心的决择。想必一个再傻也不会傻到那种程度。网络这把双刃剑，看你的内心，洞察你的内心世界！
