从前，有一条小河，河水清澈见底，鱼虾在水底悠闲歌唱。水底的石头上长出一些水藻，好像穿上了绿衣。
每到周末，小河边就会来一些客人。他们打开背包，从里面拿出水果、面包、点心等，一边吃一边欣赏美丽的风景——河边有绿草地，草地上开满了叫不出名的野花，好像是一大块花地毯；紧接着草地有一片树林，再那边是一座青青的小山，山上有兔子、野鸡等小动物，还不时传来布谷鸟的叫声。
几个月后，这里却不再美丽了。虽然小河、草地都在，但是草地上到处是果核、废旧电池、空易拉灌；河边的树上挂满了塑料袋等垃圾；小河里漂浮着汽水瓶、饮料盒……
又过了几个月，小河成了一家公司的污水排放区，每天有大量浓浓的污水排放到小河里。鱼虾渐渐地死去了，就连河边的树木也都被一些木材公司的人砍走了。
又过了几天，黄沙婆婆和狂风公公带领着无数的小灰尘占领了这个地方，他们肆无忌惮、狂魔乱舞。
可怜的小河在哭泣，哭的那么伤心。不过她也很幸运，因为”儿童环保组“发现她受了伤害，他们赶走了黄沙婆婆和狂风公公，他们帮助小河重现新颜。
小河又绽开了灿烂的笑脸。

有一天，小狗豆丁与小黑猪蕊蕊一同前往“动物世界餐厅”吃饭。来到了餐厅后，豆丁和蕊蕊点了几种绿色食品。因为今天是动物界的环保日。过了一会儿，服务员就上好菜了，然后走开。豆丁拿起旁边的筷子刚准备吃，却被蕊蕊截住了，说：“别用这里的筷子，这些都是一次性的，虽然比较干净，但却非常不环保啊。你知道吗？”豆丁瞪大了眼睛百思不得其解，问：“怎么会呢？”蕊蕊解释说：“这样的筷子都是通通把树家族的成员砍下来的，要成千上万的树兄弟才制作成这里所谓的”一次性“筷子。”豆丁听完之后，醒悟了过来。马上放下手中的筷子。带着蕊蕊马上回家，从家里带两双环保的筷子。
回到餐厅，还教导其他的动物们，一起齐齐用环保筷子，这样的`餐厅，顿时变成了绿色。然后的日子里，这个这个环保动物世界还不断新建基建这样的餐厅。每日都是环保日，每个动物也是环保小专家。
那么我们，是不是也应该向它们学习，做环保小天使呢？
