大家都知道，父母从小就教育我们，要热爱祖国，尊敬祖国的国旗和国徽。可是，为什么现在还有的同学在国旗底下吐痰、说脏话？难道你们每天早上升国旗，行注目礼，只是做个样子而已？国旗是中国的标志，是中华民族的象征。我们伟大的祖国幅员辽阔，物产丰富，山川秀美，养育了一代又一代优秀的中华儿女。中华民族勤劳勇敢，历史悠久，创造了光辉灿烂的历史，为世界文明发展做出了举世瞩目的贡献，代表这样的国家和民族的国旗难道还不值得我们肃然起敬吗？难道你们能容得下某些同学来辱骂国旗？同学们，现在正进行“八荣八耻”教育活动，我们一定要知荣知耻啊！
曾记得有一位同学就做得很好：她代表中国去参加在美国举行的学习讨论会。那里的人特别多，都是来自五湖四海的`朋友，每个人都骄傲地站在了自己国家的国旗下，抬头仰视，行着注目礼。可唯独她没有，因为那儿没有祖国的国旗。她十分气愤，找到了带她来的那位美国礼仪小姐，要求升起中国国旗。礼仪小姐答应了。可过了好长时间，还没有升起五星红旗。这位同学心急如焚，只好到旅馆撤下一块红布，自己亲手做了一面五星红旗。国旗高高地升了起来，她向国旗行了一个注目礼。顿时，大家的目光不约而同地聚集到了她的身上，为她这种爱国主义行为热烈鼓掌。这是多么伟大的爱国精神啊！你们说，这位同学的精神是不是值得我们学习呢？
同学们，我们一定要向她学习。从身边的每一件小事做起，继承和发扬中华民族的优良品质和传统，为树立良好的社会风气和构建和谐社会做出贡献。为此，我提议我们应从以下几点做起：
1。在升国旗时要严肃认真，尊重国旗，唤起对祖国的热爱和民族的自豪感。
2。不说有辱国旗的话，不做有辱国旗的事。
3。爱护自己的红领巾，整齐佩戴。
