书中还提到了另外一个主人公——卡伦，讲述了他在课堂上：一个小男孩因为受到别人的羞辱而气愤地将墨水瓶丢向欺侮他的同学，可不料却丢在了刚走进教室的老师身上，当老师质问是谁做的时，卡伦勇敢地站起来替同学承担了错误。
感受：当读完这篇的时候，我的心被深深地震撼了。我想不到一个仅只有三年级的学生，竟有如此勇敢和乐于助人的崇高品质。再想想我们生活中能有哪一个人会像卡伦那样做。当我们做错事的时候，总是想着怎样才不会被老师发现，怎样才不会受到批评。而卡伦呢，明明不是他做的，可他却为了不让同学受到批评，而硬说是自己做的。这多么感人，多么震撼人心啊！我在心中深深地佩服他，敬佩他。
《爱的教育》这本书陪伴了一代又一代人的成长，它用爱塑造人，引导我们永远保持一颗勇于进取而善良真诚的心，爱祖国，爱人民，同情人民的一切不幸与苦难。还教会了我们，人间是充满温暖，充满友情和亲情的。
