每一本书都有自己独特的灵魂！最近，我读了海明威的小说《老人与海》，读完了这本书，我不禁思绪万千：胜利在这部小说里已经不显得那么得重要，重要的就是一个人的生命价值，老人敢于挑战做不到的事，一次次地超越自我，不得不令我们感到敬佩，它所带给我们的就是一种自信，一种强大的精神力量，一种不屈的意志。
初读，我的脑子顿时迷茫了：一个孤独的渔翁就是怎么与汹涌的大海进行搏击的呢？小说描写的就是一位年迈六十的老渔夫，他凭着永不言败的精神在大海上生活着。他连续八十四天没捕到鱼，就在一次出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，但由于鱼实在太重了，拉不上来，之后他明白这就是大马林鱼，老渔夫同鱼周旋了几天大鱼，鱼才终于筋疲力尽浮上水面，被他***死，在途中一再遭到鲨鱼的袭击，但都被他化险为夷，让其他渔夫敬佩不已。
要有着坚持不懈的精神，才能胜利，可书中的老人经常都就是坚持着，屡屡失败。读完后，我不断思考着，之后我又明白：他象征着坚不可摧的精神，生活上，他失败了，但在精神上他始终就是胜利者。他那顽强抗击的精神，展现了人的高贵和尊严。而我却恰恰相反。
每当我遇到难题就是就头疼了，都没思考就请教别人。但如今读了这本书，我不禁感到惭愧，一个老人都有着执着的精神，何况我们这些青年呢？从今天起，我们要学会坚持！因为有了坚持，我们才会朝着目标坚定地前行；因为有了坚持，我们才会努力寻求解决困难的办法；因为有了坚持，我们才有可能把梦想变为现实。只有这样，我们才会看到人生的辉煌！
“宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。”人生路上，条条路坎坷，充满不公平。生命总就是向前的，你唯一能做的只有坚持！我们虽不能决定生命的长度，但一定可以拓宽生命的宽度！不管遇到什么挫折什么荆棘，都要坚持到底，站在人生顶峰，大喊：“我就是生命的强者！”
