一个风和日丽的早上，小兔和公鸡在河岸边的草地上玩“捉迷藏”的游戏。当它们玩的正欢时，公鸡不小心掉进了河里。
“救命啊，救命啊……”这时，河对岸一只狐狸听见公鸡的喊叫声，就流着口水赶忙向公鸡跑去。狐狸不怀好意地说：“美丽的公鸡，快游到我这边来，我拉你一把。”
公鸡正要向狐狸方向游去时，小兔戳穿了狐狸的诡计，她赶忙大声说：“公鸡，不要上了狐狸的当，狡猾的狐狸想吃你呢！”小兔想把公鸡救上来，可是自己也不会游泳，怎么救公鸡呢？正当小兔为此发愁时，它看见身边有几根木头，灵机一动，立刻想出了主意……
小兔马上行动起来，它用绳子紧紧系住了木头，把木头推进河中，让公鸡抓住木头，然后使劲一拉绳子，公鸡像坐着小船一样漂浮到了岸边。小兔伸出友爱之手把公鸡拉了上来，公鸡得救了！看到快到手的美餐没了，河对岸狡猾的狐狸气的直瞪眼。
被救起的公鸡拍打着翅膀，仿佛对小兔的帮助鼓起掌来，而小兔也为自己帮助了朋友感到高兴。

“叮铃铃，叮铃铃！”森林小学的上课铃又和往常一样响了起来。上课了，这一节课是语文课，猫老师教给同学们一首诗，叫《好宝宝》。大家学了之后很快就能背过了，由于这首诗没有很难的字，猫老师就让大家默写一遍。
小狐狸花花打开铅笔盒，准备拿出钢笔来。她突然发现：钢笔没了！花花想告诉老师，可老师到办公室去了，怎么办呢？有了！她跑上讲台，冲着下面喊：“谁看见我的钢笔了？”台下都说没看见。
于是花花又跑下台来，想：肯定是他们偷的还不承认，要不然从离我最近的小兔美美搜起，看看他们的书包里有没有吧。
花花趁美美不注意，开始拉她的书包链。可美美的书包链好像坏了，怎么拉也拉不开。花花就开始撕美美的书包，这下书包“哗啦”地开了，猫老师也闻声赶来了。
猫老师和同学都看到了这一幕，有些同学对花花说：“花花，你怎么能这样？快向美美道歉！”也有的去安慰正在哭泣的美美。
这节课没上成，不一会儿就下课了。花花准备把语文书放到书包里，拿出另一本书时，忽然发现钢笔正安静地躺在里面，一下子明白是冤枉了同学们，心里很惭愧！
花花赶紧跑到电话亭边，给爸爸打了个电话，让他把书包送过来，并向美美真诚地道了歉，美美也原谅了她，从此两人成为了好朋友，互相理解互相帮助，再也没有生过对方的气。
